Hi there

I just wondered whether anyone feels nervous about any potential long term implications or side effects from having the vaccine bearing in mind the quickness that it has got through the testing / regulations etc.

Everyone sounds like they’re happy to have it but I can’t help but have some reservations about it!! 😢

@EffIt
No one knows the long term effects of covid/long Covid yet either. The virus has only been in circulation for a year so far. How could anyone possibly know?
But let me ask you this? What are you most scared about and why? The possible long term effects of a vaccine ( that has years of medical expertise behind it, scientists that study behaviour of all vaccines, who we put our trust in because they are, you know/ experts?
Or to take your chance with a new scary virus, that has a high risk of serious complications or possible death, especially in older age groups or those that are clinically vulnerable? You do know that even if you personally recover well you can easily pass the virus on to someone else who won't be as lucky?

Have you done a risk assessment and concluded the risk of having the vaccine is more potentially scary than contracting Covid?

Genuine question. I don't get why someone would think that way?

Yes i feel the same. Everyone says i had it and am fine but I worried about long term effects in years to come which we won’t know now. Happy for my parents to have it as they are over 70 but not sure I want it.
I’m also wondering if new strains will make it ineffective / pointless too so will watch what happens.
Not in the priority so will have time to think. It is crazy I could be interpreted as an anti vacer though or made to feel bad just down to the fact I am questioning it or being cautious!
