Hoping the video attaches.

And if they're not allowed to sit on a bench. Tape them off!

The world has gone mad

Batshit covid conspiracy anti lockdown morons make videos which get shared all over facebook and twitter by stupid people. And they call the rest of us sheep.

Buzzinwithbez · 10/01/2021 10:36

Taking the videos with a pinch of salt until more context is confirmed but what was worrying was a policeman that seemed to think there is a limit to how many times in a day people can leave the house.
They really should be up on the law they're trying to enforce

MargotMoon · 10/01/2021 10:38

Before it got taken down I saw a comment on there that suggests those people might have been participating in anti-lockdown protests earlier in the day and the filming was by other protesters.

Taking everything with a punch of salt these days...

Grow up it is possible for people to take videos and just upload them saying what's going on without people labelling them as conspiracy theorists.

Is that what you say to black people when they posts videos of police brutality that they are Bagshot conspiracy theorists posting videos that are fake

itsgettingweird · 10/01/2021 16:01

@cyclingmad

I think you misunderstood?

The woman arrested had travelled with others from up to 30 miles away to take part in an anti COVID protest.

She was a protester who refused to move on when asked and challenged the police to prove covid was real before she complied.

Those filming were part of the same protest.

cyclingmad · 10/01/2021 16:39

Those are the only incidents just the once that made the papers. Locally we've had incidents of people being or warned unreasonably.

QueenOfTheDoubleWide · 11/01/2021 23:14

I know a lot of people don't like Daily Mail links but there is an article here about how this was manipulated by anti-Covid protestors with the Police claiming the whole incident was planned, stage-managed and recorded. I hope people who have posted here about the Police being OTT and how awful this was have a think about who is trying to make them think this and why

NiceGerbil · 12/01/2021 03:00

The two women who got nicked and fined for going on a walk with coffee have had it all cancelled and an apology.

For those who think the police always act well. You're very lucky.

amusedtodeath1 · 12/01/2021 03:17

She's a Covid denier. She apparently travelled outside her area to attend a Covid protest, police chases her and some of her friends/associates and she sat on the bench and someone else filmed it. She was NOT arrested for sitting on a bench.

Nicknacky · 12/01/2021 03:24

I’m alarmed by the amount of posters who can’t apply any critical thinking.

They read the headline and are sucked in without thinking “hang on, there is more to this”.

No, this woman was not arrested for sitting on a bench.

MusicalTrifleMonkey · 12/01/2021 03:34

Can you imagine e the waste of time it would be to tape off benches? And the litter? People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions

Northernsoulgirl45 · 12/01/2021 03:48

This was not about sitting on a bench. This was a COVID denier staging a situation to make the police look like big bad boys assuming this was Bournemouth as link broken.

Losttheequipment · 12/01/2021 03:48

Yep, this was a totally planned and manipulated situation. The woman is an idiot. I would apply the word ‘disgusting’ to her, not the police.

Bythemillpond · 12/01/2021 09:24

I do think whether this was staged or not that the police should be very clear on what the law is.

We know a guy who works on wording regulations around Covid. He was nearly arrested for walking with the guy who shares the flat he lives in during the first lockdown

The police were not interested in the law they were out to make an arrest. Acting like they knew the laws and regulations and this guy pointing out that they had the wording wrong or weren’t interpreting it correctly

It wasn’t until he showed them his pass to the building he worked in did they back down.

I think also there is a lot of people who have called on the police in the past for urgent help and they haven’t arrived but are now in force erroneously arresting or fining people for complying with the rules
