He said there's enough vaccine for every adult that wants one...not sure how that's been worked out?

itsgettingweird · 30/12/2020 15:35

It's just been said Astrazenica have said they can produce 2 million a week if government can set up being able to vaccinate that many.

100m doses have been ordered. That 50mil doses.

And we also have biontech one too

52andblue · 30/12/2020 15:36

60% protection better than none but yes we need to be SO CAREFUL still

GabsAlot · 30/12/2020 15:37

sounds bollocks so far still not everyone in tier 4 so divided again its not going to stop the spread

BonnieDundee · 30/12/2020 15:39

More Bexit but I had to laugh at a headline today. The deal was "oven ready' a little while ago and apparently no biggie. Today the Express declares "we've done the impossible" Xmas Grin

Chaotic45 · 30/12/2020 15:41

@Florelei

Did anyone else hear that only 530k vaccines are available immediately with more not expected until February?
I think that he said 'by February' which to my mind could mean during January?

You can go shopping in Liverpool. And get pissed in the park with 5 mates.

Meanwhile:

BBC Essex @BBCEssex
BREAKING: Request for the military to create additional hospital capacity in Essex has been sent to the government Senior Essex MP @bernardjenkin tells parliament

itsgettingweird · 30/12/2020 15:42

Does anyone else get the feeling MH does actually really care?

He seems to want to get it right even if he doesn't always.

GabsAlot · 30/12/2020 15:43

quite redtooth

and im in essex

2bedammed · 30/12/2020 15:43

I do agree MH cares. J Hunt has been excellent and I think would have been better.

MH works hard.

I think Boris is not able to or right for this moment in time.

Won’t it be about schools? I’d quite like to know what I’m doing come Monday. I’ve written lesson plans based on being in school and doing live lessons for students who won’t be allowed in. Not sure for how long that can be sustained, tho.

BrightonForWine · 30/12/2020 15:49

I could only watch the first 20 mins, have they mentioned how long the secondary schools are off for.l yet?

I really respect how Nicola sturgeon addresses Scotland.

It's refreshing not to hear alas, alack and with a heavy heart, as well as no mumbling and waffle.
starfishmummy · 30/12/2020 15:55

PandemicPavolova · 30/12/2020 15:57

Same here
MadameMinimes · 30/12/2020 16:01

I find it really refreshing to watch Sturgeon. She’s so straightforward, speaks in plain English and doesn’t do the macho “world-beating”, braggy nonsense that we get treated to. She’s also not playing to the gallery. I wonder if that is as much to do with the prevailing culture in the Scottish parliament as it is about her individual personality though. It’s a totally different approach there compared to Westminster.
