I can’t believe that they aren’t doing more than they have announced today. Having watched the independent sage update this morning, it’s clear the tiers are not enough. How can they have 50,000 cases a day and be fucking around with moving a few more places into tier 3/4? Those 50,000 don’t even include people infected over Christmas. This country is fucked.

Agree with all of this, I just don't understand it at all.
What is Boris going to announce at 5pm if Hancock has already gone through tier changes.

That comment to JH was so unnecessary given what’s being discussed and at stake. It should have been conveyed privately. No one cares who wears a tie or not when so many lives are being lost.

Perhaps the speaker went to a school with a uniform policy that surpassed all else in its importance. Rather like some of schools having the windows rightly open but... Not allowing students any uniform thats not regulation. In a global pandemic crisis...

I've been saying this since September.

Even worse they insist on blazer. Which we know gets washed half termly! Surely warm clean jumper daily would be much better. They keep on about education being so important but don't seem to see some things are unimportant.

It is so Old School Tie in style. Who cares WHAT he is wearing if he is asking important questions (even if he's not tbh)

We are going to need rather more than moving some areas from Tier 3 to 4 given the current numbers...

I’ve just read Twitter post by Susan Michie, a member of SAGE. She says that the Oxford vaccine only provides 60% protection so all other measures are crucial as well.
