Thanks, found it eventually. I'm watching upstairs on freeview

Butterymuffin · 30/12/2020 11:07

Watching here for updates as I can't watch the news channel atm

Crumpetycrump · 30/12/2020 11:12

They think the efficacy of the low dose high dose regime was actually due to the length of time between the shots rather than due to the amount.

OP posts:
PurpleDaisies · 30/12/2020 11:13

22days after first dose the efficacy is approximately 70% but very cautious about the data. More data to be put in public domain later.

Crumpetycrump · 30/12/2020 11:14

And then 80% after second dose 12 weeks later.

Sorry

Wait what? That Times guy just pronounced efficacy as 'afikkissie', my mind is blown.

They've stated that pregnant and bf women must discuss the risk/benefit with their HCP, and make individual decisions.

PurpleDaisies · 30/12/2020 11:20

They need to discuss their personal risk with their doctor.

Crumpetycrump · 30/12/2020 11:21

Yes they said that for both vaccines.

This isn’t the press conference about tiers and schools though is it? That’s at 2:30 isn’t it?

PurpleDaisies · 30/12/2020 11:24

No, it’s about the Oxford vaccine. It’s three scientists. Really interesting watching.

Crumpetycrump · 30/12/2020 11:24

No this is a press conference about the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine Grin

That lady is absolutely phenomenal. If she was my mother in law I'd change my name and move to Alaska.

MorrisZapp · 30/12/2020 11:27

Dr June Raine, I wish you summer sunshine.

PurpleDaisies · 30/12/2020 11:28

She’s so calm, reassuring and dignified. I’ve really enjoyed this press conference. It’s nice to have people who actually answer the questions and know what they’re talking about. That’s a bit of a contrast to the politicians!

Have the given a list of the ingredients anywhere?

I’m wondering this too. I suspect they will say no.
