I'm battling the most overwhelming fatigue today along with chills, a headache and massive waves of nausea (also total appetite loss which is VERY unlike me).

Thinking it's best to book a test to be on the safe side?.

Started with a sore head and throat. Sore eyes when I looked up or left. A small cough a couple of times a day, sneezing.

Nose and throat felt raw.
Smell didn't go until day 5. Taste left a bit.

Tired throughout but nothing extreme.

No temp at all.

Honestly felt like a head cold. Would never have tested without dd2 testing positive the previous day. There was also a positive case in her nursery.

I can see how it's very easy to miss.

Sneezing! Lots of sneezing!

Ivytheterrible79 · 31/12/2020 20:18

Felt like I had hurt my back. Hips and legs hurt and seized in the evening. Smell and taste went a few days in. Dry nose like the end of a cold. Pains in legs. Strange scratchy feeling inside my legs and shooting pains.

Night thirst was outrageous. Felt like my body was drying up!

Strangely though after that long list....I've had far worse colds.

Tested positive 7 days ago (as part of community testing and after a ‘close contact’ app alert). Nothing so far except a bad headache today and general fatigue.

Passanotherjaffacake · 31/12/2020 22:25

Tested positive at end of November, had a mild cough for a few days but had a hoarse voice for about 2 weeks. Was a little more tired than usual but ok generally, no temp, no loss of taste or smell etc. I was very, very lucky. Hope you feel better soon. Xx

Hello, can I join you...
My elderly Dads friend tested positive so we thought we ought to test as he had popped round to wish him happy Christmas. Our positive results came back yesterday. We would not have bothered testing if he had not told us.
My only symptoms are aching legs and hips and a stuffy nose. My Dad is tired. No other symptoms... yet...🤞

Itstheprinciple · 01/01/2021 18:50

Oh yes...the thirst was horrendous.

Jsummersun · 02/01/2021 06:47

Glad you got a negative result Joris, but just shows the uncertainty of this disease. It is so difficult to judge.

Now Day 10 since first nausea symptoms - nausea has come and gone throughout. Developed a runny/swollen eye overnight. apart from this I feel pretty normal really if a bit washed out.

poppym12 · 03/01/2021 19:50

I don't know whether I should be tested. I had an upset stomach for a few days earlier in the week and a banging headache I couldn't shift, the odd feeling that I'm getting a bad cold such as aching joints, sneezing, shivers, sore throat but the cold doesn't materialize and the symptoms come and go.

Today I've woken up with what seems to be conjunctivitis.

I am disabled so only venture out to the supermarket if my online order is missing important items (twice since just before Christmas). I haven't been anywhere else. My son is working as normal as he can't work from home but he doesn't appear to be ill.

Would it be a waste of time trying to get a test? I don't have a fever or cough so it doesn't seem that I need one according to the gov uk website.

Jsummersun · 03/01/2021 20:25

Getting tested would be a good idea with your symptoms.

Do you have the Covid Zoe app? I recommend it as a way to record and check symptoms.

cherrycola742 · 03/01/2021 21:15

So reassuring to hear from
People who've had it and recovered. I have a test booked tomorrow and am anxious. My symptoms are stuffy/pressure in sinuses, scratchy throat, fatigue and occasional mild temperature.

mememeee · 04/01/2021 14:13

@cherrycola742 I had similar symptoms but thought I had sinusitis and I didn't get a test. I was full of snot but taste was fine.
