How long did it take?

We’ve got a thread going for those of us waiting on results but it’s getting hard to track now.

If you have had a result back in the last week can you just post here with how long it took in hours?

Ive been tested twice in the last week, and got the result back in less than 24 hours both times.

Sunday 3pm just got the results at 6am (Wednesday)

I know people who went to the same test centre after me and got their results sooner

Tested last Friday and got positive result Tuesday afternoon

34 hours - tested early Sunday, result Monday evening. Drive through, Slough. Positive.

20 hours. Tested last Wednesday.
OP of your DH is an NHS worker is there no expedited testing option? Apologies if I'm teaching grandma to such eggs but my NHS friends have access to fast turn around testing , guaranteed in 24 hours as well as additional lateral flow tests as needed.

Test collected 3pm Thurs, results arrived 6am Monday.
Get tested every week in a 24 hour window and they are collected on a Thursday afternoon. I've had results ranging from early hours Sat morning to Tuesday morning. I guess it depends on how busy that particular lab is at that time, there are probably hundreds of regular tests each week from care homes etc, then the others on top.

My sons friend just got his positive result back after 6 days. Part of community testing, so no symptoms, so he has been spreading it around for the past 6 days whilst waiting for results .

I ordered a test Thursday lunchtime and it was delivered less than 24 hours later. I sent the test back Monday afternoon and got the results this morning.

52.5 hours

Posted mine back last Saturday morning, negative result came back 10pm last night (Tuesday).

Posted mine, results within 36 hours.

Tested Friday received results 5.00am Monday, South West

Posted test last Friday afternoon (18th), negative results received Monday at 6am. So took around 60 hours.

That’s South West (tier 3)

Drive through in north west. 28 hours.

Around 20 hours. In north east, Morpeth centre.

My son tested yesterday morning at 10am and results came through at 7am this morning

Still waiting having had DH tested in London on Sunday. he is now fine (we are all fine) but if he is positive we went out for a birthday dinner in the 48 hours before his symptoms appeared. If he is positive by the time the result comes through the earliest they would be told is around 8 days after they saw him so pretty much at the end of their self isolation period which means they could have been walking around all this time with it
