It seems to be a habit of gov. to leak things to the press first.
To prepare us for bad news

So sorry to those saying they have had enough. I’m a nanny and I enjoyed helping with home schooling las time.
Nannies are allowed to work so maybe consider employing one even for a few hours each morning if you could possibly afford it.

If they are going to do it, it needs to be from the 26th to stop the extended Christmas mixing that will happen.

People have already been told they can't mix after Christmas day if people are still intending to do so they will probably go ahead with their plans regardless of Boris announcing a lockdown

my bet is Boxing day but there needs to be some kind of annoucement asap to stop the sales frenzy
Government's inaction here is staggering .Ok they closed down tier 4 but people are escaping to tier 2, because they can, and the numbers in those tier 2 areas are now increasing rapidly.
They are three weeks behind the curve every time. Except that this time it could cost tens of thousands of lives .
