Have you been invited to have the vaccine yet?

I have close family and friends working in the NHS in a variety of patient facing roles and yet none of them have been contacted about getting the vaccine yet. Has anyone heard of someone who has?

Im sure the 4 nations will deliver at similar times obviously england has a lot more people to vaccinate so a bigger operation, but as long as al nations get it , who cares which one gives the first dose etc

My brother in law got a date today for 14th

One could say are you always this unreasonable? Of all shit to pick at re covid. Complaining about the lack of invites for vaccination, 24 hours after a vaccine is approved. After the vaccine has been created and approved in record time feels a touch unreasonable. But yeah I'm the shitty one.

I’m not sure if you’ve read my posts. I haven’t complained about the roll out. Why would I, as I’m not even eligible for the vaccine Confused Perhaps you missed my post when I said I was wondering if anyone had been invited for the vaccine; sometimes what is reported in the newspapers doesn’t align with what’s happening on the ground, you see. So I was curious. No one has said you’ve been shitty @NeonIcedcoffee. Maybe it’s time to step away from the laptop Smile

To everyone else - great to hear that things really are in motion! 🎉💉

The ppl giving the vaccine need to get it first.

I’m in the vulnerable category 6. Does this mean I’m going to be stuck with the 62% effective Oxford vaccine? I’d much prefer the Pfizer one.

Formicamouse · 04/12/2020 06:40

You won't be able to choose which you get.

We are getting vaccines next week. In Yorkshire

hopefulhalf · 04/12/2020 06:45

Not invited but I think it's happening next week .My source ? A medical photographer who has been asked to produce posters for the vaccine for today. My trust is starting on monday

NHS staff but I understood care homes/staff will get it first. I’m happy to have it now but I’m in no rush. I’d rather the vulnerable elderly get it quickly.

Jessicabrassica · 04/12/2020 07:16

Patient facing staff in my health board have been invited to book appointments from 14th.
I haven't yet. My risk factors are low and as far as I can tell it won't stop me transmitting it so I'm not sure whether I consider myself enough of a priority to take a slot.
My biggest fear is giving it to a vulnerable family that I work with.

My DH’s Great grandad who is in a care home in England has been told that he will be getting it in the next 3-4 weeks.
