Genesis were supposed to be at the O2 in London today. We were going to be there.

We also have missed Harry Potter and The Planets at the Royal Albert Hall. A production at the Globe and in a couple of weeks we would have been at a Pantomime.

I find it quite hard on the actual day of all these missed events. It just reinforces how rubbish everything is right now.

Tinyhumansurvivalist · 29/11/2020 22:51

Status Quo and Katie Mellua

Both just outright cancelled, no rescheduling which I was gutted about. But in fairness to the venue the refund was done exceptionally fast and painlessly.

londongirl12 · 29/11/2020 22:55

@HorsesDogsNails Wow, the gathering sold out in no time. I've never been to one as I've never had anyone to go with. I mentioned this on Jules's fb last winter, had several responses to say people went alone and made friends along the way. And then it sold in hours anyway! I hope it's still on for you.

Had a few concerts rescheduled but was devastated to get my money back from Ocean Colour Scene which should have been taking place tomorrow. Obviously, it mustn't be happening at all now. It was a weekend away with my son to Dublin and we'd had our tickets for over 12 months.

I have my first socially distanced concert this Saturday at the Liverpool Philharmonic to see Ian Prowse. It's going to be very strange not meeting up in the pub beforehand.
Too much hassle to find somewhere now to book for a "substantial meal" rather than going on a spontaneous pub crawl.

Generally Gathering tickets don't sell out quite so fast, there was only 300 (I think) for the Rhyl, Prestatyn and Cardiff combo! Plenty of people go on their own, it's a really intimate venue and the Alarm fam are really friendly...
