Im Sure its the 16th of December that they will review Tiers again.

Cuddling57 · 26/11/2020 12:14

Thank you very useful information

NatMoz · 26/11/2020 12:15

@Racoonworld

Thanks for posting. Tier 2 as I feared. Looks like another lonely few months of maternity leave with just outdoor walks for company
Count yourself lucky and feel blessed. I would kill for tier 2 right now. Have been in some form of restrictions since March (Greater Manchester).
Drogonssmile · 26/11/2020 12:15

@LottieDot

Does anyone know when/how often the tiers will be reviewed? Apologies I didn't watch the live announcement

Reviewed every 14 days.

Parmavioletmum · 26/11/2020 12:17

South East is in tier 1 & 2 :/

Look under 'Childcare' rules- I am in a bubble with my DD and I go everyday and 'provide childcare' whilst she does other things. It was allowed under lockdown, not sure about now, but look under 'childcare' rules.

Technically this isn’t really allowed. You are supposed to working for someone to come and provide childcare for you.

I use paid professional childcare while I’m working as my parents also work, therefore the only time they could apply a childcare bubble is the weekend but I’m not at work then.

LondonlovesLola · 26/11/2020 12:17

All of London is only in Tier 2? Hmmm,

This.
Do they think we’re stupid? Not one area in tier 3...
Let’s look after London and f**k everyone/ everywhere else. I’m so angry.

Calmandmeasured1 · 26/11/2020 12:17

@Clearasmuddypuddles

So angry. We are tier 3 again, yet our cases per 100,000 is down to 180. Can’t ever see us getting lowered.
It isn't just down to the number of cases though. There are 5 aspects to the criteria including positivity rates and how hospitals are coping. They consider localised issues too.

LottieDot · 26/11/2020 12:18

@Iwantacookie @Castiel07 @Drogonssmile thank you, I would have assumed 14 days but you just never know!

Gertie75 · 26/11/2020 12:18

We're now in Tier 3, it's so frustrating how big the areas are, I'm in Staffordshire so get lumped in with Stoke on Trent which is a 45 minute drive away.

Our local numbers aren't high.

kittensarecute · 26/11/2020 12:19

@Tink1990

In tier 3, are non essential shops open does anyone know? Argh, I hate coronavirus!
I think non essential shops will be able to open in all tiers after the national lockdown ends.
Clearasmuddypuddles · 26/11/2020 12:19

@LizzieSiddal
Copied from the gov.uk website

“You can only use a childcare bubble for childcare – that is, where the child’s parent or regular carer is not present. You cannot use a childcare bubble to mix with another household for other reasons.”

Emmie12345 · 26/11/2020 12:19

We’re tier one ! Makes sense !

Racoonworld · 26/11/2020 12:21

@Parmavioletmum

South East is in tier 1 & 2 :/
All of south east is Tier 2 or 3 apart from aisle of weight. The list had headers for each area, you need to look for your area not south east as a whole.
Emmie12345 · 26/11/2020 12:22

Cornwall

Longwhiskers14 · 26/11/2020 12:22

All those complaining about London - it's not just been calculated on the infection rate, it's also done on hospital Covid admissions and those in London are low at the moment. Plus infections are steadily falling across most boroughs, whereas in parts of the north they're on the rise again. Please let's not make this a north-south divide and instead makeit a everyone versus the Govt who landed us all in this crap by not acting quickly enough in Feb/March.

@LottieDot Apparently it'll be reviewed every two weeks.

Bonkerz · 26/11/2020 12:23

I don't know what this means for ex seeing the kids. Both counties in tier 3. He's not my bubble because I work from home with a friend who is my bubble otherwise she wouldn't have a job.

Sarah75Lou · 26/11/2020 12:23

South Yorkshire Tier 3 - great!!

PinkPlantCase · 26/11/2020 12:25

I guess there are less older people in London which could keep their hospital rate down lower.

LadyCatStark · 26/11/2020 12:25

I’m so fucking angry. We have 152.6 cases per 100000 and we’re in tier 3. How can they justify that? Lancaster has even less with 92! But there’s no north, south divide though oh no...

This wasn’t allowed during lockdown and won’t be allowed now. Childcare bubbles you can’t mix with the parent. Copied directly from gov website:

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 26/11/2020 12:25

According to local figures, cases are dropping rapidly locally. Yet it moves from Tier 1 to Tier 3...

HMSSophie · 26/11/2020 12:26

Thank you so much

Hayeahnobut · 26/11/2020 12:26

@Bonkerz Your ex is still allowed to see their kids. That's been the case since March.
