Is it possible? How many of us are now criminals?

I think you'd be hard pressed to find many people that are not in a residential or care setting that haven't even unintentionally broken a guideline, rule or law since March.

However, there is going to several parties with zero social distancing on the one hand and stepping too close to the delivery man briefly without a mask on the other

Treaclepie19 · 20/11/2020 15:57

Pretty sure I haven't broken any rules.
Unless its something like above where I've got too close to a delivery driver or whatever without realising.

BigBlueBow · 20/11/2020 15:59

No I dont think I have. Unless unintentional. I dont think its that difficult tbh

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 20/11/2020 16:01

Pretty sure I've kept to them too?

MumOfPsuedoAdult · 20/11/2020 16:01

I'm going to challenge that question with, does anyone even know what all the rules are? They change so often.

Stellaris22 · 20/11/2020 16:04

Agree with not being able to really know as they change so often.

But: my household bubble (myself, husband daughter) maintain social distancing, mask wearing, hand washing and haven't been in another house since late last year. Will be continuing to do so even over Christmas.

unicornparty · 20/11/2020 16:04

Yes I've kept to all the rules. I'm a total stickler for rules.

HotSince63 · 20/11/2020 16:05

I honestly couldn't tell you because I'm not entirely sure what the rules are from week to Tier to Lockdown 2.0

I'm using my own common sense, me, DH and DS haven't had covid and neither have any of our family, in fact in our personal lives we don't know a single person who has had it, so we must be doing something right.

Yamaya · 20/11/2020 16:05

We haven't broken any rules and have actually gone further than the rules for most of the year.

KitKatastrophe · 20/11/2020 16:08

@Yamaya

We haven't broken any rules and have actually gone further than the rules for most of the year.
Congratulations
ReceptionTA · 20/11/2020 16:08

Personally I have, yes. I haven't found it hard. I've actually been more cautious than the government have suggested.

CarrieBlue · 20/11/2020 16:09

so we must be doing something right

Or been very lucky. Or asymptomatic.

JustAPassingFashion · 20/11/2020 16:09

I've stuck to them all. I'm a rule follower to a faultConfused

DobbyTheHouseElk · 20/11/2020 16:10

Im sticking to the rules.

YouLikeTheBadOnesToo · 20/11/2020 16:11

I’ve only intentionally broken the rules once, when I hugged a neighbour who had just lost her daughter. I would do the same thing again, without hesitation.

FourPlatinumRings · 20/11/2020 16:12

Back when the rule of six was a thing, I confess I didn't make my toddler socially distance from her grandparents.

BiddyPop · 20/11/2020 16:13

I sometimes forget to put my mask back on when outdoors with my Cub pack - I take it off to say something clearly when we are formally spaced out, and they swarm around me before I get it back on again (we've been outdoors for everything since we started meeting again in September). I usually remember pretty quickly though.

And I went into my single DAunt's house for a cup of coffee about 5 weeks ago (when no indoor visiting was allowed) - we had a coffee on her front step in the summer, but it was too cold for her to stay out so we sat on opposite sides of the living room for 20 minutes for a catchup. But she is retired, totally alone and has been going nowhere and having no one in for months so really wanted some interaction.

But that's about all I can think of. The "Ladies Sailing" group had a great chat on our cocktail night last week (on zoom) about how it is people our age out drinking on the street in 2 local villages in the early evenings (takeaway pints from pub, and takeaway wine from wine shop across the street), rather than teenagers having house parties. (A few live close by, or have to drive through to get to shops, and were astounded how busy it was!).

Actually, I just remembered, on our street in the 1st lockdown (as it was easing), we went 2 people over the limit allowed outdoors then when 7 out of 8 houses turned out for a sunday evening beer on the green - we all sat more than 2m apart, brought out our own chairs and beer/wine, and just caught up with each other for about 40 minutes after weeks of not seeing people. I think we did it twice (2nd time limits were greater so we were fine) but haven't since 2nd lot of restrictions came in and numbers allowed reduced again. But none of our usual summer BBQs or dinners in each others' houses etc have happened this year.

ComeOnBabyHauntMyBubble · 20/11/2020 17:04

Real ones? No.
Made up ones? All of them Grin

Topseyt · 20/11/2020 17:07

I've no idea. I can't say I am absolutely certain what all the rules are as they change with the wind anyway.

I wear my mask wherever I understand that I am required to. I'm a home body who has never liked big social gatherings so that probably limits my rule breaking.

I did go out and sit reading my book by on park benches when that was apparently illegal during the spring lockdown. So on that basis yes, I am a lockdown criminal.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 20/11/2020 17:07

Yes we've stuck to all the rules, I work in microbiology and have been following the pandemic since January so know how important the rules are!

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 20/11/2020 17:10

We haven't seen family since last Christmas and have not socialised since March. Only been out of the house to shop/work.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 20/11/2020 17:10

I've broken the rules by using lots of different people for childcare in the school holidays. I don't have anyone who can commit to a childcare bubble so I have to ask various family members on an ad hoc basis. It's either that or I can't work (can't work from home) and as a single parent not working isn't an option.

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 20/11/2020 17:11

Followed them here too, not hard to see what they are (takes seconds to google ) and stick to them to protect our own family and others.

FuzzyPuffling · 20/11/2020 17:11

Yes.
CEV/CV household, so not much motivation to risk it.

Topseyt · 20/11/2020 17:12

I've also occasionally forgotten to put my mask back up to go into a shop, but rectified it asap.
