Would you go to soft play this week?
(If you would normally go- I know lots of people don't like it anyway)

Yep, we went a couple of days ago. Have to book a slot and wear masks unless seated at your table, order food/drinks on your phone and its brought to your table.
They had taken the balls away and everything else is steam cleaned between the sessions.
I've never seen it so clean in there, I didn't feel unsafe at any point.

Do what you can while its allowed.

NotQuiteUsual · 01/11/2020 18:00

I'll be going one more time. I want to support local businesses, our local one has done an amazing job becoming covid secure and it's so quiet there right now.

studychick81 · 01/11/2020 18:01

Definitely not. The virus is air bound so no matter how much cleaning is involved it won't matter.

ImMoana · 01/11/2020 18:05

Yes but as a household we’ve already had the virus so that does alter my way of thinking about these things.

toptreeroots1 · 01/11/2020 18:06

No

OverTheRainbow88 · 01/11/2020 18:08

Yes on wed , but it’s a small one for 12 people, I book 4 tickets as do 2 other friends so it’s Only people I know and see anyway.

soundsystem · 01/11/2020 18:08

Gawd YES. I will do everything I'm allowed as long as I'm allowed.
There is no moral high ground in making up extra rules to follow.

No. How can it possibly be Covid-safe?

LadyCatStark · 01/11/2020 18:17

Not soft play no, they’re germ fests at the best of times 🤢.

Flatwhite32 · 01/11/2020 18:43

I've been to two recently. Both were spotless. DD loved it. I'm also nearly 30 weeks pregnant. Both hardly had anyone there.

Remmy123 · 01/11/2020 18:48

Yes I have been - all fine here

EcoCustard · 01/11/2020 18:50

We have been to our local one every other week since they reopened for toddler sessions and took all the kids in half term. I would go this week but have made other Commitments.

Ours has online booking only, is scrupulously clean, and insistent on masks for adults and happy to remind those to wear one who are not exempt. It’s been lovely going of late, and far safer than going to the supermarket.

Brazillio · 01/11/2020 18:51

No

BlackLambAndGreyFalcoln · 01/11/2020 18:59

Yes taking dd tomorrow.

Happygogoat · 01/11/2020 19:05

Yes. They're cleaner, regularly disinfected, masks apart from when sat eating, reduced capacity and pre booking only. Have loved it. Not so much as caught a cold!

Somethingvague · 01/11/2020 19:39

Yes, hoping to go with DS and his nan on Wednesday. We have one of the lowest corona rates in the country and it's going to be a long winter. I'll do what we can when we can.

MoirasRoses · 01/11/2020 20:36

Yes! The smell of disinfect hits you in the face at the two we go too. Running at 40% capacity, fogging between each play session, members of staff walking around cleaning it during the session (they look so fed up 🙈), no ball pool .. it’s 1000x cleaner than its ever been. It is almost certainly more clean than nursery!

MoirasRoses · 01/11/2020 20:36

*disinfectant

HeddaGarbled · 01/11/2020 20:40

Depends where you live.

Dreamylemon · 01/11/2020 22:27

My kids love soft play and have asked to go many times during lockdown. I took them on a cold, dark evening last week when it was pouring with rain to burn off energy. I wouldn't do it again, it was too busy and not socially distanced ( at the till area). The actual soft play frame was ok though. Anywhere indoors seems wrong to me atm

lovescaca · 01/11/2020 22:46

I wish I could take my wee on, but there still closed in Scotland 😡

WingingItSince1973 · 02/11/2020 01:56

I cant believe people have been using them. They are a germ infested place at the best of times. So no is my answer. Why risk it?

Buffyfan88 · 02/11/2020 02:12

Hated going pre covid never mind now.
Germ pits Envy
My kids are getting bigger and one especially Less keen to go anyways. Most times we did go years back they landed up with vomiting bugs directly after.

SheilaWilcox · 02/11/2020 03:29

I cannot imagine a more perfect environment for viruses to spread!

I'm surprised anyone has been near one since March TBH.

radioband · 02/11/2020 04:09

I went every week until restrictions where brought in a few weeks back. I have to go to work and my child goes to nursery, I balanced the risk against my grumpy toddler on a rainy day.
