It's going to be a much quieter bonfire night in Wales this year!!!

OP posts:
yawnsvillex · 23/10/2020 16:31

Wales will be selling nothing soon.

LazyFace · 23/10/2020 16:41

Fireworks should be banned anyway.

Fatted · 23/10/2020 16:42

That's me driving over the border to England then 🤷‍♀️

CrunchyCarrot · 23/10/2020 16:52

Wow!

Da iawn chi, Cymru! (Well done, Wales!)

ageingdisgracefully · 23/10/2020 16:55

I guess the rules apply to anything non-essential until lockdown lifts.

So that's Halloween and Bonfire Night up the spout.

ChaChaCha2012 · 23/10/2020 16:56

Well done Wales.

I'm sure we can all give bonfire night a miss this year.

satnighttakeaway · 23/10/2020 16:58

All of the things to worry about Wales not selling this would struggle to get into my top 1000

I think we're all well aware that bonfire night will be a very subdued affair this year

trappedsincesundaymorn · 23/10/2020 17:02

Good.

cologne4711 · 23/10/2020 17:03

Well that's one restriction I actually agree with.

KANNET · 23/10/2020 17:25

I actually think they shouldn't be sold anyway, but surely people in wales can just them online if they want them

cologne4711 · 23/10/2020 17:30

I didn't think you could buy them online - surely they would be too dangerous for post(wo)men to carry?

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 23/10/2020 17:32

Not selling allsorts after 6 tonight are they.
Clothes too. So clothes aren't essential, we can all go naked to the shop! No one needs to see that, so clothes are essential.
I'll be glad to see less fireworks.

m0use · 23/10/2020 17:32

Good - they shouldn't be available to the public at all.

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 23/10/2020 17:34

Wish Scotland would do the same.

picklemewalnuts · 23/10/2020 17:41

Great!

Brighterthansunflowers · 23/10/2020 17:47

Finally some good news!

Fireworks shouldn’t be on sale to the public anyway, they’re at best a nuisance and at worst dangerous

bibbitybobbitycatz · 23/10/2020 17:49

My cat will be pleased.

I do understand why they are doing it, but it does feel a bit joyless.

toxtethOgradyUSA · 23/10/2020 17:52

The only thing worth doing with fireworks would be to ram them up Drakeford's arse Halloween Angry

FlitterMouse · 23/10/2020 17:54

Good. Absolute dangerous and unnecessary waste of money. I hope others follow.

noideaatallreally · 23/10/2020 17:57

No problem with non essentials not being sold. The lockdown is lasting for 16 days - I'm sure no one needs to go naked.

Bamaluz · 23/10/2020 18:04

We've had fireworks going off nearby every night this week, my cat has been terrified, so I'm really pleased about this.
I'm in Wales, obviously.

InsanityRocks · 23/10/2020 18:43

Another reason I wish I lived in Wales

Viv0321 · 23/10/2020 18:49

Toxteth- that made me laugh out loud!

ChaChaCha2012 · 23/10/2020 19:02

@FedUpAtHomeTroels If you have absolutely no clothes I can put you in touch with a charity that can help. Do you have an urgent clothing need?

ChaChaCha2012 · 23/10/2020 19:06

If anyone does have a genuine need for clothing, for instance due to fleeing domestic violence, then Women's Aid, social services etc are still there and can access resources for you.
