Why isn't there outrage over dropping from 60 million to 22?

Can't believe the govt are getting away from offering 60 million and then dropping to 22 million in order to make a example of Burnham and Manchester.
There should be outrage that if the govt felt they could offer 60 million then they should give it.
The fact Manchester is being offered less than other places is a disgrace

Who's going to pay for it?

sweetheartyparty · 21/10/2020 08:41

We will pay for it anyway with additional universal credit and pay even more if mass redundancies lead to an increased welfare bill and reduced tax income

@Jaxhog

Who's going to pay for it?
Where were these questions when Boris spent more than £50 million on a bridge that was never actually built?

At the end of the day this sint the government's fault or issue as I see it.
The Manchester authority thought they'd play hardball, win and shown the government up. Ultimately, they were never going to and were offered a good deal. Way ieo what should be imo. They ducked up. Blame the council. Let them make up the shortfall for no doubt letting things spiral further. They need to be held accountable.
