Has there ever been a more inept government than we have right now? What a joke.

Don't forget he was seen drinking in the commons bar after 10pm.

HeIenaDove · 19/10/2020 19:00

YY @MissEliza He cracked a tasteless joke as well.

ajandjjmum · 19/10/2020 19:16

@myhobbyisouting

"very unlikely to catch it again"

Really? How do you know that and have you thought about passing this knowledge on to SAGE? Grin

Grin I think they have a far better handle on things than me! But as far as I have seen, only two people have been confirmed to have caught the infection twice.
tobee · 19/10/2020 19:17

Unfortunately it's quite a lot more than 2 worldwide.

lockeddownandcrazy · 19/10/2020 19:22

"If you show your inhaler that’s fine but if not can take the matter to court and show them your proof/medicine"

Hallelujah -finally some sense rather than people just saying they are exempt or never even being challenged - eg in Aldi/ Lidl etc

MereDintofPandiculation · 19/10/2020 19:23

Nothing compares to the MP travelling by train and going into parlament knowing she was positive. I don't think she knew she was positive when she went into Parliament, she just knew she'd been tested (and did she have symptoms?). She got the result at Westminster. It was the train journey back to Scotland when she knew she was positive.

Exemption cards
Those who have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering should not be routinely asked to give any written evidence of this, this includes exemption cards. No person needs to seek advice or request a letter from a medical professional about their reason for not wearing a face covering.

Some people may feel more comfortable showing something that says they do not have to wear a face covering. This could be in the form of an exemption card, badge or even a home-made sign.

This is a personal choice and is not necessary in law.

Access exemption card templates

For exemptions in different parts of the UK please refer to the specific guidance for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales

OK, the MP travelling back by train knowing she was positive.
But I got a question, do MPs get tested without a reason? While the rest of us have to wait for tests and results?

PurpleDaisies · 19/10/2020 19:37

But I got a question, do MPs get tested without a reason?

She had symptoms and booked a test.

MissEliza · 19/10/2020 19:38

@MushMonster she got tested because she had symptoms yet still went around mixing with people, including a beauty parlour. But she got off Scott free.

MushMonster · 19/10/2020 19:38

Yes I checked it. She did. So she had to isolate while she was waiting for the test! I know I got that rule right! I know it!Grin

MushMonster · 19/10/2020 19:39

So far, she is the worst of the lot! Can you imagine yourself getting into a station, a train, knowing you are contagious! My god!

MushMonster · 19/10/2020 19:41

Or just going around suspecting you got it!

SheepandCow · 19/10/2020 19:41

They can get a private test, I assume. If they wanted one and didn't meet the NHS's very limited criteria.

There's private testing capacity. Footballers, for example, are having regular private tests. The universities were also doing private tests.

PurpleDaisies · 19/10/2020 19:43

I can sort of imagine someone panicking and travelling home after testing positive (still totally wrong but I get that). It’s the getting symptoms, getting a test but not waiting for the result and travelling seven hours on a train, giving a speech in the House of Commons and going all about the place while she should have been isolating that’s totally indefensible to me.

Littleposh · 19/10/2020 19:49

You never forgotten to put a mask on before??

lockeddownandcrazy · 19/10/2020 19:52

"should not be routinely asked to give any written evidence of this"
total pants - means anyone can just not wear a mask and not be challenged

gamerchick · 19/10/2020 19:52

@ajandjjmum

But he's had the illness, so wouldn't be passing anything on, and very unlikely to catch it again.
Nobody knows how long immunity lasts though.

I agree You’ve not mentioned the trip to a salon and Mass at church too.

Be careful what you wish for.
PurpleDaisies · 19/10/2020 21:14

@HeIenaDove what have the mask wearing exemptions got to do with this thread? Matt Hancock is not exempt. He has been seen wearing them on many occasions before.

HeIenaDove · 19/10/2020 21:19

It was to @lockeddownandcrazy who was agreeing with what GMP Stretford had done.
