Looked after a friend's baby earlier this week. The next night she started getting COVID symptoms and has been confirmed that she has it today. Some friends she saw at the weekend are also covid positive so very likely she (and small baby) had it when I looked after the baby for an hour.

Am I doomed, a bit worried about my own child now and my husband has been going into work etc as we are symptom free.

My ds's gf returned from Zante on the Thursday. Stayed with us Thursday,Friday, Saturday night. We all ate from around the same table. They shared a bed.
She tested positive on the Sunday (buggers hadn't told us she was even going for a test. )
They then went back to her house to SI for 2 weeks. He had 3 negative tests during those 2 weeks and me, my husband and 3 other dd's all negative.
Weird.

@JJeans no just felt 'off'. Throat a bit tight and headache, coughed a handful of times.

I feel rubbish today as couldn't sleep last night after receiving my daughter's result last thing. Not sure what, if any, symptoms I have tbh because I'm so exhausted from that!

As one of those who still washes the shopping, this just seems to show it's all luck. Sad

Pasanda did he and you have symptoms as otherwise you werent supposed to be testing.
If she had symptoms she should have told you as you all should have isolated at thst point.
If she had a house why was she quarantining in your house (or was this before zante was on the list)

My friend had it back in April, was really poorly in hospital for 3 weeks. Her partner and daughter didn’t get it.
