DS had a text on Monday due to a weird taste and smell issue. He’s otherwise fine. Just got his results and he’s tested positive! He’s in 6th form.
Since Monday, I’ve kept him and the other 2 DC at home with me. Everyone else is ok.
But now I’m shitting myself a bit... will me and DC and DH definitely get it?? How severe will it be?? Agh. So many questions that obviously no one can answer!
Talk me down please MNers

@SurgeonsWife82

Same fear here op. I have tested positive and I am scared in case I pass to DH and DC.

How are you all?

You know you might have caught it from them, and they didn’t even realise they had it?

So much scaremongering it’s unreal

Isolate him in his room. You mustn't have contact with him. Leave food etc outside the door...
My friend has CV19 but managed to not pass it onto the family and they have a child who has had a heart transplant so is Imunosuppresed

Grow up.

Loads of people have it, do t know they have it, and don’t even pass it on to people they sleep with every night

@smellyhouseelf that may be what happened and what your school told you but it is wrong and has been since 23rd March.

smellyhouseelf · 27/09/2020 22:11

@helpfulperson
Yes I'm well aware of that, Thankyou.

Bupkis · 27/09/2020 22:16

@smellyhouseelf

I am not confused. At the school where I work, we are expected to work if a member of our household has symptoms.
Then they should be reported Incredibly vulnerable children, like my son, have to go into school's just like yours...I have to trust that they are abiding by the rules, and if they're not, that someone who knows will report them.
Feelingconfused2020 · 27/09/2020 22:47

smellyhouseelf you should report your school, speak to your union. They are putting people at risk and that's not on. They may have vulnerable children or staff at school exposed to you.

CamelotSweetheart · 28/09/2020 09:39

How is your son doing @Money4honey ?
Hope you are coping ok.
Has anyone else in the house started feeling poorly?

shesellsseashells99 · 28/09/2020 13:45

@Therollockingrogue

Your husband can’t go to work ! What if he was to have an accident at work and require emergency surgery?! Potentially spreading Covid all over the hospital? Bloody hell
I agree Sorry OP but your DH should not be going to work even if working by himself!!
Money4honey · 29/09/2020 14:27

Sorry, haven’t read all the comments.
We’re all isolating this week. Me and DH both got negative results which is reassuring/weird!

You and DH only needed a test if you had symptoms. You all need to isolate for 14 days (apart from DS who has to isolate for 10 days)
