I speak for everyone but I’m so bloody sick of this now. Covid this, covid that all the bloody time.

Now Chris Whitty is saying we should have another national lockdown. Yes the numbers seem to be getting out of control but for crying out loud, people’s mental health is going to be worsened and god knows what that’ll do to the economy, as if the first lockdown wasn’t bad enough!!

I sincerely hope 2021 is a far more pleasant year. Right now it feels like this will never end and we’ll just be stuck in an endless coronavirus cycle forever.

6 months of this crap is enough. God it’s so frustrating

Witty and vallance look like classic ditherers

We, as a species, did this to ourselves.
And should probably be grateful that covid isn't 100% painfully fatal to all.

I don't think the government will do another formal lockdown. I think we will just get tightened restrictions that are effectively lock down for most people but enable us to 1) spend money and 2) pretend we aren't in lock down.

Tbh the "rule of 6" means I'm effectively back to lockdown in lots of ways because I have 3 children. And I don't fancy going to the pub/restaurants with them because I spend enough time with them as it is Grin
At least they are sort of back at school for the time being.

I miss my family tremendously though Sad

I am gutted to read this morning that, from Tuesday (random day!) we are to be locked down locally once more. This means that we only do essential shopping and work, and we cannot socialise or see family or friends either indoors or outdoors.

I am really upset. It has been such a long, long time since I could go into my grandparents' house for a brew, a hug, and a chocolate biscuit. They're both 80, so without trying to sound negative, you never know how many years you'll be able to do this for! I want to go and hug my mum, I want to go to my dad's and help him prepare a meal.

I feel so alone. I do have a partner, but he works all day every day. I work from home but things have been very quiet since April, meaning I spend most of my time sitting here, thinking.

I know. My family are carrying on as normal o/s

It’s so crap being in this pandemic washer on a cycle

CorianderLord · 18/09/2020 15:17

I'm not that bothered tbh. Everyone's acting like staying at home is the worst thing in the world. I like my home and my partner - we've been learning to play Tafl. I've read books, picked up some new embroidery skills, bought a badminton net.

I haven't seen my parents or sibling since Christmas, luckily we all have phones.

Buckle up buttercup.

CorianderLord · 18/09/2020 15:18

@Deux your kids are wrong, it's nothing like the hunger games... or are people trying to slit your throat and firing arrows at you? Stupid comparison.

Deux · 18/09/2020 16:04

@CorianderLord. It’s great that you’re not bothered. Thanks for your feedback on my children’s opinions. Do you have teenagers? Any kids at all?

No my children are not wrong. It was their opinion. It’s up to my teens how they see the situation and that’s how they referred to it. So don’t try to tell me they’re wrong. It might suit you fine but it doesn’t suit everyone.

I’ll get them some embroidery for their alternate week lockdown that they’re on.
