Face mask - levels of compliance in your area

I’ve been to a number of small and large shops (In Suffolk) yesterday and today, and all but two of around 100-200 adults were wearing a mask/face covering, and 95%+ of those were wearing it correctly (ie over face and nose). I was surprised, firstly, that compliance was so high and, secondly, at how much people seemed to treat it like second nature and often wore their masks outside and between shops when they didn’t have to.

It would be interesting to know how common this has been elsewhere as i’ve read other reports that seem to indicate uptake is less blanket. Are certain areas more compliant than others?

About 2/3 in the service station I popped into this evening. Police where there buying coffee and that didn’t impact things!

I despair of my area.

Inner London and northern cities.... Mask wearing is patchy. It’s interesting that the largest number of Covid infections are in the north too.

Northern town (well two different ones in fact) everyone wearing one.

Huge Sainsbury’s today only saw 3 adult shoppers without masks so I guess they could be rare exemptions. Quite a few staff weren’t wearing them though which is a bit odd.

Lots of people were putting them on in the queue to get in, I reckon there was a bit of scoping out to see if everyone else was doing it before complying.

majority of customers....didnt challenge many, but a couple have almost wanted some confrontation, making a point in the queue of not wearing one and defiantly watching for a response from staff.....we just ignored and didnt bite

My partner went in the one stop last night and he was only one with mask on in the shop. I went to tesco express today and everyone had masks on including staff
