Hi op
Yes I do. I washing them down with bacteria wipes or spray. With my fruit and veg I wash them in warm soapy water.

ofwarren · 03/05/2020 14:53

Yes, mild bleach solution for shopping and I dont open the mail for 3 days.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 03/05/2020 14:55

No, I don't wipe or quarantine anything.

PumpkinP · 03/05/2020 14:57

No I can’t allow my mind to think like that.

BananaPop2020 · 03/05/2020 14:58

I don’t either- where do you draw the line with this sort of thing?

BeforeIPutOnMyMakeup · 03/05/2020 15:00

You only need to wipe packages and deliveries down if you are or you live with someone in the vulnerable groups. Those people should have at some point been advised to do that and more.

Otherwise throw away outer package, wash your hands and keep to other good basic hygiene measures.

jadey0891 · 03/05/2020 15:04

I do what I do because I have vulnerable children. However before coronavirus I still washed and wiped things down, because I don't no if people coughed or sneezed on the things I pick up. Some people are different but OP do what you want to do. Don't let anyone change your mind

Undies1990 · 03/05/2020 15:05

Nope.

CherryStoneTree · 03/05/2020 15:05

Yes, quarantine or wash down/wipe with antibacterial wipes or spray. Wash veg in washing up liquid and rinse

DramaAlpaca · 03/05/2020 15:07

I don't.

timetest · 03/05/2020 15:10

I wash down everything with soapy water. DD and DH are vulnerable so I take no unnecessary risks however slight.

WobblyAllOver · 03/05/2020 15:11

No I don't wipe anything down nor do I quarantine anything.

rosie1959 · 03/05/2020 15:13

No I don’t can’t imagine my foodie husbands face if I stuck his fresh veg in soapy washing up water

ofwarren · 03/05/2020 15:13

Yes I should have said, we are a shielded family

ChocChip01 · 03/05/2020 15:16

Nope I don’t wipe down shopping items or delivery packages. I use hand gel as soon as I’m out of the supermarket and then wash my hands when I get home. I wash fruit and veg that does not come in packaging (but I did this before coronavirus).

I don’t allow myself to become to obsessive about it. A) I don’t have the time to clean everything with 2 small DCs and b) It would not be healthy for me mentally to be worried at that level.
However, if you are in the vulnerable/shielding category then it might make you feel more protected by cleaning everything.

terrigrey · 03/05/2020 16:40

Nope nothing.
I try and wash my hands frequently and not touch my face.

CrunchyCarrot · 03/05/2020 16:45

Yes, everything possible to wash or wipe down with soapy water gets that treatment. Anything not able to have its outer wrapping discarded or wiped gets put into 'quarantine' for several days.

Baaaahhhhh · 03/05/2020 16:51

No. Nothing. Waste of time and energy. No evidence. CBA.

kazza446 · 03/05/2020 16:53

No!! I did at the outset but there’s no evidence of it being effective

MrsEfr0n · 03/05/2020 16:56

No never have, know others who are washing / wiping down all items from the supermarket though.

Parker231 · 03/05/2020 16:57

No food packaging washing or quarantine here - just hand washing.

Kingjarvis · 03/05/2020 16:58

Absolutely not. Madness

HeadOfTheCongaLine · 03/05/2020 16:59

No, nothing. I was surprised reading one of the other threads just how many people were washing, wiping, or quarantining groceries.
