What has lockdown taught you about yourself?

I didn't realise what an introvert I am, I'm really not missing anyone. I'm glad of the peace. I now know why I get so antsy sometimes, I just need time alone. I like company when I choose it, I hate it forced on me.
And I don't need to shop every day, or every other day and I've saved a fortune. When everything gets on top of me I go to the shops, probably to be alone!!

What about you?

That I really am that socially isolated already

This exactly! I should be allowed out of the lockdown as my transmission rate would remain the same.

That I am far too busy usually.

This is nice for us.

@Blackbeans I have had literally 3 people call me once each in the 7 weeks I have been at home with dd (I took her out early). I also think lockdown hasn't made any difference re transmission other than the school run!

2 friends (furloughed, have partners and no kids) I usually call weekly haven't actually even bothered to see if I am OK/alive - disappointing but makes me realise time wasted trying to keep up with them before. I've always thought that when they said they were "sooo busy" they had forgotten to call it was an excuse and now I know! It feels like a refreshing bit of unspoken honesty at least. When you live alone these things are magnified.

That I enjoy not having to wear a bra.

It's taught me I like decorating...especially painting woodwork

I need some social interaction
I have no IRL friends, its just too much up keep and expectation for me but the incidental chats at the shops, post office, bus driver mean more than i thought.
I missed them, so glad life is getting back to semi normal here (SthAus), people friendly again, not giving the side eye in shops or looking at everyone like lepers

I could never homeschool, me, dp and dd are not suited to it AT ALL and so happy she back a school with her friends and teacher

That I am not a ‘homebody’. Don’t get me wrong, I love my home and the time I usually spend in it. But I like going out, doing things, seeing people. I can only appreciate my home when I get to do all of the things I enjoy out of the home.
