What (hopefully) minor things should/would you be seeing your GP for if you could, but aren't due to CV?

I have a nagging on and off abdominal pain on the right. Too high to be my appendix. Potentially my gallbladder.
I had an appointment booked after putting up with it for weeks and weeks waiting for it to go away. That got cancelled automatically before the lockdown and as it's not an emergency, I'm clearly not pursuing an appointment. But it's a (tiny) nagging worry for me that it might be something that needs looking into.

@NothingIsWrong same here! I know that works for my rosacea but felt bad contacting a GP about it so have paid £40 online. I'm just hoping the world is starting to get back to normal when the tube is used so I don't need to pay £40 again

To find out if they can prescribe HRT. Feels very unimportant, but if they really wouldnt mind, will try for a phone appt.

DINO , NUMBNESS AND PINS AND NEEDLES need to be investigated. In my case, I had those symptoms because I had vit d deficiency and I was unbeknownst to me, hypothyroid. Lots of mental health symptoms associated with those conditions.

Absolutely unbearable sciatic pain which is going into the hip. Walking some days is almost impossible. The only thing that gives me any relief is if I take 2 of the prescription dihydrocodeine I have that are supposed to be for migraines. If I take a dose in the morning and a dose at bedtime, I can get through the day and sleep at night with minimal pain. The only problem is, I only get 30 in the pack so I really have to ration myself and only take them now and again! The rest of the time I'm in absolute agony.

Have had right side pain consistently since end of February and really not getting better. I too assumed it was gall bladder and had a telephone consultation with my GP who referred me for ultrasound. The appointment was honored 3 weeks ago and they found nothing wrong in the gall bladder/kidneys, etc. It's only getting worse (with the odd day off) and I have self diagnosed umpteen times. Eventually, I went private and got my GP to refer me to a gynae (?) and they have seen me face to face, done all sorts of tests which I'm waiting for results on (including another ultrasound). I'm not really expecting it to be a gynae problem but the private GP has assured me they will refer me on to someone privately until we get to the bottom of it. It still feels like it's taking too long as most days I'm struggling. I still can't work out what it is but have ruled out IBS, gallstones and endometriosis. I just hope it's not anything serious. The cramping and tightness on the right side under the rib is horrible.

I sympathise for everyone on here that is suffering in some way as it makes the Covid crisis even harder to cope with. Call your GP and push for what you need.

I did a telephone consult with someone today, took 2 minutes for us to mutually decide that video was not going to help us and he needed a face to face assessment. So he got one. Everyone happy.

If I had a telephone appointment with my GP to talk about mid cycle bleeding what would they do though? They can’t refer me and I won’t take the pill as I’m TTC.

@BirdieFriendReturns that's what happened to me. I had a mid cycle bleed and happened to mention it to the GP when I had the telephone consultation about the pain on my right side. The GP gave me a private referral as NHS weren't seeing any new diagnosis. This may have changed in the past 2 weeks? The GP said that any abnormal bleeding should be addressed ASAP, so a call to the GP won't do any harm. The worst they can say is call back when things return to normal, but unlikely imho.

Many people need to seek medical attention or else they potential will be a lot iller.
Some (fungal toes/blood sugar test /rashes etc) can be discussed with a pharmacists and often don't need to be seen by a gp. They will let you know if you need any further help.

Unexplained itchy spots at various places, saw doc in the summer and should have followed up in September but couldn't and now here we are. I've also had a health check review thing through and need to make an appointment for that.

While I have been able to get telephone appointments with my gp and they have been able to prescribe medication for vomitting and pain you all referrals they have made have been rejected. I have abdominal pain with unexplained weight loss and odd ultrasound results. The gp has advised having a hospital bag packed as believes it will require hospitalisation at some point if the tests can't be performed in a planned way, or potentially things could self resolve.

I almost didn't seek media attention for (what I thought were) minor, unexplained symptoms. It turned out to be AML (leukaemia) so I am really thankful that I did, even though it felt really selfish and unreasonable at the time!

Herniated disc I’ve had for over a year. Was seeing physio but they’ve discharged me just as it was getting worse. Now it’s fucking agony and I can’t sleep at night.
