Hi, apologies for what is undoubtedly a silly question, but can someone explain exactly what happens with a click and collect order at the moment please? We have been shielding our child for 4 weeks and had no contact with anyone outside the household. Up until now we’ve successfully managed to get food deliveries but have only been able to get a click and collect for the next few weeks. I’ve never done one before and am trying to weigh up whether it’s worth the risk - does it require me to have contact with anyone? Thank you

@ClientQ
As someone who is extremely vulnerable?

Click & collect in Tesco & Asda is fantastic near me, both big stores with drive through areas and absolutely no fuss or contact. Asda reads a QR code from an email sent to you and Tesco just take a name shouted from your window before bringing the stuff bagged up for you to put in your car. They retreat inside, you load bags and drive off. For pp with query around deliveries for extremely vulnerable - my parent was not a Tesco customer but met the criteria for the government list so registered on gov.uk. He made a brand new Tesco account account and within a few days received notification from Tesco that he was on their priority list. Deliveries are pretty short notice, I would prefer a guaranteed regular weekly delivery but it seems this not possible with them. Asda have just got back to him too, they are offering a guaranteed weekly slot it he's sticking with Tesco.
