What do you wear on lockdown (light hearted)

So working from home and have a toddler in the house. Starting to look like I've never seen a comb or fitting clothes because I am just winging it right now!

Need to be comfy but not living in my pjs / scruffs! Put some make up on and actually dry my hair!

What you wearing..?

I'm just wearing my comfy jogging bottoms and a jumper. I'm the same, haven't done hair or makeup since we locked down and feel like a right slob 😂

edwinbear · 31/03/2020 21:05

My old maternity leggings (youngest DC is 8) a jumper that must be over 15 yrs old and a knackered hoodie over the top. I declined to join a video conference call today Blush

JamesNesbittsBrows · 31/03/2020 21:07

Joggers. But today jeans . And lo! Felt better.

So actually all that advice about getting dressed well actually is true!

Hannah021 · 31/03/2020 21:08

Lol makeup!! You're putting a lot of effort!!
I look like a prison escape inmate

jelly79 · 31/03/2020 21:08

@edwinbear haha this tickled me!

I think I'm going to sort out some gym wear / jeans and t shirts and actually get dressed ready for work! I scared myself when I FaceTimed my friend tonight 🙄

Joggers, T shirt and slippers

jelly79 · 31/03/2020 21:10

@Hannah021 well some tinted moisturiser and mascara!

Fake tan and lashes are not happening!

I’m doing full make up every day but I have skin problems and other issues to cover up.

Living in my inaptly named active wear though.

GCAcademic · 31/03/2020 21:10

Joggers, jumper, no bra (bliss!)

Tomorrow I have an online meeting so will need to put on proper clothes, do my hair, put in contact lenses and apply makeup. Which now feels like an unreasonable amount of effort.

Charlottejade89 · 31/03/2020 21:12

I'm the same, joggers or leggings and jumper. I found myself wishing I'd go e to primark before the lockdown started to get more pairs so I dont have to keep washing and rotating the same ones. My hair hasn't seen a brush in days either

Permenantlyexhaustedpidgeon · 31/03/2020 21:13

I’m a fortnight in and my mood dipped massively at the weekend. I’m a single parent and we have both just been in pyjamas none stop. I made us both get dressed yesterday (in to joggers and t shirt or keep fit clothes) and I felt so much better. Also weirdly, when I work from home if I put shoes on it helps me focus more.... I might just be a weirdo on that score though!

Rosiejim · 31/03/2020 21:14

I’ve just ordered some casual but almost professional stuff! Linen joggers, big knit cardi and some soft tee shirts and a fitted yoga top. CAN NOT WAIT

Wannabangbang · 31/03/2020 21:16

Pjs some days but feel so much better when i put a bra on and some proper clothes. Find wearing pjs all day doesn't help with my motivation, so trying hard most days to put day clothes on.

CompleteBarstool · 31/03/2020 21:16

For a few days, when the weather was sunny, it was rough old gardening jeans and t-shirt as I pottered around the garden. Then I moved on to paint spattered decorating clothes for 2 days whilst I did some painting.

I've now stepped it up a notch to slouchy, comfy wide-legged yoga pants.

Make-up is gathering dust somewhere.

ProfessorPootle · 31/03/2020 21:17

Black leggings, workout stuff, hoodies, comfy and I might go on the exercise bike at some point so good to be prepared.

Kids have to put clothes on Mon-Fri although 10 year old has been rocking joggers and vest combo which I’m not keen on, weekends pjs and onesies acceptable.

FairyJuice · 31/03/2020 21:18

Leggings leggings leggings (some maternity) with vest and comfy cardi. If I'm leaving the house I generally pull jeans on over the leggings to save taking them off and on again when I get back home Blush I've actually worn more leggings the last few weeks than I did during my 4 pregnancies combined. Haven't worn makeup in a month either 🙈 Feel shite for it, but really can't be arsed when I'm leaving the house so little 🤷

Marmite27 · 31/03/2020 21:18

Joggers and jumpers.

mynameiscalypso · 31/03/2020 21:19

I can highly recommend Asda's denim leggings. They make me feel pulled together without actually requiring me to wear anything with a proper waist band.

ProfessorPootle · 31/03/2020 21:20

I’ve stopped wearing my contact lenses and can’t find my glasses anywhere so spending all day squinting. Not straightened hair since lockdown started, dc and dh all say it suits me better curly so might leave it from now on but mostly been out with hood up and not seen anyone I know yet!!

mynamesmrdiggety · 31/03/2020 21:30

My roots! I had an appointment last week that was obviously cancelled. I look like hell.

AgeLikeWine · 31/03/2020 21:30

Ballgown & tiara, obviously. What else would one wear??

jelly79 · 31/03/2020 21:31

@AgeLikeWine I actually thought should we have a day / night and really make an effort. Then thought...NOPE

OwlFox · 31/03/2020 21:35

Mostly loungewear (joggers and hoodies as PP suggested) unless I have no set schedule for the day then it will be PJ's until I bath. I must admit though this last week I have spent most of my time in the garden so have been changing into the same clothes each morning - dealing with brambles and I only want to destroy one set of clothes.

neversleepagain · 31/03/2020 21:36

Literally the same style for the past 10 days. Black leggings and a different tunic top. Hair combed and in a high bun and facial oil on my face, no make up.

FaFoutis · 31/03/2020 21:37

Dungarees and slippers.
My hair is so tangled that it stays in a bun on its own.
