So working from home and have a toddler in the house. Starting to look like I've never seen a comb or fitting clothes because I am just winging it right now!

Need to be comfy but not living in my pjs / scruffs! Put some make up on and actually dry my hair!

What you wearing..?

Jeans and t-shirt changed 2-3 times a week. So little laundry!

LargeGinOnTap · 31/03/2020 21:44

Jeans I want something a bit more comfy but due to restrictions can't really find something suitable. My trackie bottoms don't quite hit the mark somehow

ifonly4 · 31/03/2020 21:51

Same as usual, jeans or sometimes joggers, both of which I can wear for work. DH had problems sleeping past 6am, and has plenty of work he can do at home, so that motivates me to get up, dressed and keep in routine.

pylongazer · 31/03/2020 22:11

Posh joggers in the day, Primark joggers in the evenings just to mix it up a bit!

InconvenientPeg · 31/03/2020 22:38

@AgeLikeWine there's some kind of Twitter thing trending in Cornwall of people wearing ballgowns to put the rubbish out!
I work from home normally, and never wear make up, but do always wear semi smart 'work' clothes as we do a lot of video meetings.
Had to force my 10 6year old daughter out of her onesie yesterday. She did admit that once she got dressed she felt a lot better!

sadforthekoalas · 31/03/2020 22:45

Cotton jersey dresses and leggings here.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 31/03/2020 22:46

A unicorn onesie.

elephantoverthehill · 31/03/2020 22:55

Sometimes a housecoat before others are up. Twin set and pencil skirt during the day. I obviously then dress for dinner and a negligee at night.

elephantoverthehill · 31/03/2020 22:56

Standards people!

Piccalino3 · 31/03/2020 23:02

In the week I've been getting up at normal time, getting showered, dressed in normal clothes of skirts, tops, jumpers as sometimes jeans and my normal hair, make up, jewellery, perfume but no rings or nail polish. I have 3 young kids so need to keep routine or else I'd be really floundering. Weekends are pj's or my Pilates tops and bottoms and no make up which makes it feel different.

elQuintoConyo · 31/03/2020 23:09

Workout gear when I do my exercise after breakfast, then shower and into long sleeved cotton top and comfy bottoms: leggings, joggers, yoga pants. No bra.

Bra goes on with a nicer top in the afternoon when I do video calls, still in crappy bottoms. No make up, aside from a slip of lipstick. As soon as dinner is over I'm back into my pyjamas.

Putting different clothes on makes all the difference. 8yo also in comfy clothes during the day. Our laundry bag is mostly pants and socks!

mineofuselessinformation · 31/03/2020 23:10

I'm wearing something close to what I would wear at work, though not quite as formal.
It makes me feel ready for the working day.

Flaxmeadow · 31/03/2020 23:15

Light weight cotton pyjama bottoms and T shirts. Easy to wash and dry. Flip flops for my feet. Stopped wearing jewelry a few weeks ago because it's harder to keep as clean as your hands (apparently)

I have clothes and shoes for outside in a basket by my front door. Take them off as soon as I get inside the hallway and have a shower. But I try to avoid going outside to shop as much as possible now

I have discovered a new love for gym clothes. Some good quality leggings, a tshirt or vest top and a hoody or jumper is great for being t home. Bonus is then if I decide to do some exercise when I have half an hour free, I don't need to get changed first.

MotherofPearl · 31/03/2020 23:32

I WFH a lot anyway, but generally wear normal clothes as I still usually go out on the school/nursery run. For days I go into work I enjoy dressing more smartly.

Now with lockdown I find myself contemplating - for the first time in my life! - loungewear! I'm so drawn to it, and am especially liking the look of the cashmere joggers and hoodies on the White Company website, though they are rather pricey. Any tips for where to buy nice loungewear online?

Flaxmeadow · 31/03/2020 23:44

Cashmere's nice but is it practical? Not the easiest fabric to launder

CarolineIngalls · 01/04/2020 08:55

Maternity leggings are a present to oneself for years and years (youngest is 3).

Leggings, t shirt, and hoodies. Jean's for the garden.

Desperate ponytail everytime a conference call comes in.

SimonJT · 01/04/2020 08:58

Pants.

Although I did add a shirt and tie for a video conference.

The lack of laundry I’m producing is fantastic.

catsandlavender · 01/04/2020 09:12

Leggings or joggers and one of my many nice sweatshirts or hoodies. And a sports bra. My hair is really long so I have to brush it every day or it’s annoying, I don’t wear foundation anyway but I occasionally have done my eyebrows to remember that I can look ok Grin and fluffy socks!

MotherofPearl · 01/04/2020 09:33

Good point about laundering Flax. I'm going with some cotton loungewear from JL.

jelly79 · 02/04/2020 19:29

I looked for some nice loungewear today but didn't bother! I reckon I've got loads I could wear! Felt so much better today doing my hair and make up a little and getting dressed for the day x
