Anyone else got raging hayfever?

I am sneezing all day, swollen eyes, mild sore throat, runny nose, earache in one ear, awful headache first thing in the morning.

Taking antihistamine daily, which does help but not 100%.

Every time I sneeze always 6 times in a row I'm paranoid I might have/be spreading the virus. Stupid really. But people look at me with horror!

I don't remember having it this early in the year before. It usually hits with grass cutting season.

I put it down to a mild winter but I could be wrong. My hay fever is out of control when it is milder at this time and it gets worse with grass seed. Asthma too when I rarely get it.

As a bonus I am finding my oral allergy syndrome is worse too? I react to baked vegetables too at the moment. Luckily I can still do them if they were frozen first.

I had a call with a nurse from the surgery earlier, she said I could take certirizine up to 3 times a day. Now I just have to go and find some.

I managed to avoid clawing at my eyes yesterday evening and as a result they are far better today (although I have got antihistamine going on at the moment).

The runny nose and almost-sneezing is annoying though. Why can't I just sneeze already.

Glad I'm not the only one. When it first started I was paranoid I had corona. But realised tree pollulen is high. Mucus throat. Congested in the mornings and dull headache/sinus pain. Brought tablets and spray yesterday

@MortyFide I ordered mine from Amazon last year for £6.99 for 12 boxes of 30. It’s now £71 for the same order!

Chemist4u has them in stock online as does mypharmacy

I've been sneezing. Taking my hay fever meds seems to be controlling it

@MrsSnitchnose.
Just saw your second post. I am so sorry for you. Mine used to do that all the time, still does it but not as bad.
Anyway you will probably think I am bonkers but when I was younger I found that an eye bath (or an egg cup, if I didn't have one) filled with full fat milk and then tipped up into eyes (blink a lot helped loads.
Yes it is very sticky.
Might make your eyes fill up with what appears to be sleep (soft green gunk. Sorry).
But if you don't touch them I promise they will stop itching for quite a while. If I could get 10 minutes without wanting to claw them out I thought I was winning.
2 other things that finally worked for me were both Chinese. 1 was tablets but you had to take them from about September for about 3/4 months then come the following March to September Much reduced hay-fever they were marvellous - downsides--you had to take about 15 every morning
And they were really bloody expensive.
2nd was a sort of breathing/meditation thing - normally I'd be the first to laugh at this but there were certain points to put your fingers on your nose and just under your eyes and this worked too.
Good luck. 🍷

Same as I do every year - I always get hayfever at the tree pollen part of the season before it tapers off. The antihistamine which starts with an L doesn't work for me, but cetrizine does, which I'll double up the dose to twice a day if needs be as one a day wears off by bedtime and then I'm up all night with a face and throat itching like mad all night - GP advised me to take two a day.

I took my first certirizine at about 6.30am, but so far (2 hours in) I'm not getting much relief - eyes, mouth, face, nose, throat, ears, scalp, backs of hands, all itching like mad and my nose is streaming. Booo, when does it kick in? The other one (loratidine) took a couple of hours admittedly but I thought I read that this one was faster...
