Ocado Anytime Smart Pass holders - have you received priority access yet?

Email sent to anytime pass holders (at least) on Thursday

-
We have experienced such extraordinary levels of demand in recent days that despite our best efforts, we simply have not had enough capacity to serve all our customers.
To put it into context, practically every Ocado customer, no matter how infrequently they may have shopped previously, is now looking to place an order every week. At the same time, with families at home, the average size of orders has almost doubled. This means there is an unceasing level of demand several times our current delivery capacity.
We’ve already taken decisive steps to manage this demand, closing our doors to new customers, and limiting customers to one delivery slot every seven days. However, despite these measures, we can see that not all Smart Pass customers have been able to book a delivery.
As an Anytime Smart Pass member, we consider you to be one of our best customers, so we’ve set up a temporary priority queue to enable you to book a delivery slot each week.
How you will get access:
We have divided all paying Anytime Smart Pass members who joined before 2020 into a number of equal-sized, randomised groups. You will be placed in one of these groups.
At spaced intervals, we will give each group access to the priority queue, enabling them to quickly get in and choose a slot for their weekly delivery. We will do this by sending each group an email and text message between the hours of 9am and 5pm, starting tomorrow.
Once you get your email, you’ll have the rest of the day to place and check out your order. Please wait for your message, as you won’t be able to access the priority queue at other times.
Please be aware that there is still high demand for slots, and you may not see full availability for all time slots. But, because we can now prioritise the customers we let on to the website, and each customer can only have one slot, you can be confident that there are enough slots – and groceries – to go around.
Our developers continue to work on a better solution which will allow us to manage this in a simpler way but, for now, this fix at least helps us to prioritise you in the short-term. It makes access fair, and helps to keep traffic to our website at manageable levels, ensuring you the best possible shopping experience in the circumstances.
Please note: our usually all-knowing Customer Service team can’t set-up or change this temporary process, so they won’t be able to tell you which group you are in, or when you will get your email.
Thank you for your continued understanding and patience. We all understand the huge responsibility placed on us, and we are working tirelessly to help feed the nation at this challenging time.

Will be v glad to have a slot confirmed. I would have cancelled my Ocado subscription otherwise. As a customer who orders weekly and should also be screened, I was getting quite concerned what the next few months would be like.

Anyone had their priority access yet?

I just want to amend an order but the website has just said the queue is paused for the last few hours..

HildaSnibbs · 27/03/2020 19:01

There's an update now on the queue - no delivery slots for general release now for 48 hours, editing closed for Saturday and Sunday orders, come back Sunday to edit Monday or Tuesday orders....

I've had that window open on my iPad for just under 12 hours to edit an order for Tuesday so I now give up...

Milky77 · 27/03/2020 19:04

Haven't had priority email yet. The queue is paused. Ocado comms are shit

I just got mine. Got straight on to site and was able to book a slot. Earliest available was 9th April but there were tons for the days 9th, 10th, 11th at least.

GiantKitten · 27/03/2020 19:20

I got priority text with clicky link just before 5pm, was told 10 min wait & it was, almost exactly.

Was able to edit order for Wed 1st (booked on 18th) - didn’t try today to book one further ahead, maybe I should have, no idea if I’ll ever get in again now Confused

wendz86 · 27/03/2020 19:21

I got email this evening and was in queue for a couple of mins . Got an order for 7th April .

Megan2018 · 27/03/2020 19:22

Not yet!

GiantKitten · 27/03/2020 19:24

The website is def behaving strangely.

When I first clicked the link in the text I saw the actual home page, for a couple of seconds, before it switched to putting me in the (short) queue 🤔

Just clicked link again, out of curiosity - first saw home page again, then it threw me into general queue (283,000)

MrsWeatherwax · 27/03/2020 19:24

Got the email with link around 3 ish, logged on at 4 and have got a delivery booked for the 6th of April.

AndwhenyougetthereFoffsomemore · 27/03/2020 19:34

Still no email here ...

DameXanaduBramble · 27/03/2020 19:38

Yes, ordered for April 10

rabbitsnose · 27/03/2020 19:43

Yes today. Ordered for 8 April

Piggywaspushed · 27/03/2020 19:50

Quite disgruntled that I never got my email!

Milky77 · 27/03/2020 19:57

Still a few of us that haven't.

Not had the email with the link yet. However I agree with GiantKitten about the website behaving oddly. Got a brief flash of the homepage then back in the paused queue, whatever that means.

TeaThings · 27/03/2020 20:00

Had priority email. Logged on from iPhone, iPad and windows laptop to a nano second flash of homepage before I get a virtual queue page that tells me the queue is paused.

Anyone have the same? I can’t see any way to log on or enter a queue that isn’t paused.

Panicmode1 · 27/03/2020 20:07

Nope, haven't got mine. But went to Sainsburys today and got a normal family shop, so not as stressed as I was!

Axlcat · 27/03/2020 20:08

I’ve been trying since I got the email this morning. I’m vulnerable and not supposed to leave the house. It took me 2 hours to get in and then kicked out. I got another link at 5pm and I can only view the next 3 days of which there are no slots. It’s really silly but I could cry - I’ve been at this all day and I just want to keep myself safe

poppym12 · 27/03/2020 20:39

I had the email yesterday but no text or anything since.

WindUpBird · 27/03/2020 20:59

I haven’t had the email yet...I’m a smartpass anytime customer, been a customer for 16 years, get a delivery once a week blah blah blah...so I do wonder how they choose who to send the emails to. I’m not vulnerable, elderly or a key worker and I know they are attempting to prioritise those which is obviously necessary! Hopefully I’ll get mine soon! We’re self-isolating for potentially another 7 days & can’t go out to an actual shop!

Ontheboardwalk · 27/03/2020 21:02

I’ve had anytime smart pass for about four years, cancelled just before Christmas as they wanted to charge me £9.99 per month. Only do 5 maybe 6 max deliveries per month so cancelled it and got creative when choosing the cheaper slots

Got tempted back to Ocado anytime smartpass last month for £50 a year but I’m classed as a new customer so no priority slot for me!!

Just got straight onto the site. My pre booked (weeks ago) delivery for tomorrow and next week showing. No new delivery slots but that could be because I’ve now got 2 over the next 2 weeks

winningwhilstlosing · 28/03/2020 08:59

Still no email - I will have no choice but to go to the supermarket. Who’d have thought that ‘going to the supermarket’ would ever have seemed like a dangerous activity.

blobbyface · 28/03/2020 09:03

I got an email last night just before 6pm. It made no difference - all slots gone for weeks. We're stuffed as we started self isolating on Wednesday as ds2 had temperature of 39.5. Not quite sure how we get food for the 6 of us!

Milky77 · 28/03/2020 10:15

Still no email or text. I have a delivery on April 3 so maybe they are giving access to people who have a delivery in the next week.

There's no spare slots at all though.

I got my priority email this morning. Got straight onto site and booked 10th April (by going to April, not scrolling the 3 days at a time) nothing sooner. Lots of products available and never came up against a product limit. The email states

"You have the rest of the day to place and check out your order. After that, you may not be able to access the priority queue again until next week.
We’ve opened slots for at least the next seven days, and will continue to release new availability at regular intervals. Please be aware that there is still high demand, and you may not see full availability for all time slots.
We urge you to place an order and check out everything you need in one go. We may need to bring forward the cut-off time for editing your order if we run out of capacity for your delivery day (this may be up to 72 hours before delivery.) "

I did check out straight away, I don't trust it not too but interesting that you have all day to shop if you want. I guess they want you to get it right because editing is so hard.
