Stopping people and asking them where they’re going, is it essential, etc. Glad they’re taking it seriously.

And not local to me, but saw this “ticket” on fb. So police saying you can’t drive somewhere to exercise. I know that was being discussed earlier.

Nope. Not invested in you at all Alsohuman. Invested in people making false claims that cause anxiety in a national crisis and then arguing that they didn't because they can't admit they were wrong?

Yeah, I am a bit. Because we've got enough to deal with without you telling people moving house was 'stopped yesterday' which was completely untrue and you then admitted yourself was untrue 😂

‘I have lost all respect for our local police. FB shaming more innocent people for running alone this afternoon & standing too close to a mother of a young family going for their “daily walk” near their home. The mother asked “can you stand back a bit? We don’t know if you have coronavirus or not!” and they told her off aggressively.’

This is what concerns me. If they are pulling all these people over and questioning people on walks, are they making sure they are staying 2 metres away from the people they are questioning?

Nameofchanges they aren’t ensuring social distancing when they talk to people (in my
County). I think there’s quite a few pics on The Daily Fail website that might confirm this but I haven’t looked today.

Desperately trying to avoid that awful website as it’s full of so much bullshit Blush

In my experience the guy stayed in his car and hung out the window

What also worried me is this culture of individuals being encouraged to report their neighbours.

What if you have someone who isn't a fan? They could easily report someone and get the Police to fine/arrest them with no consequences and little actual police investigation.
My local pub landlord is worried about this. He is gay. When he took the pub over, he got a backlash, it was a right old man's pub, and many of the old regulars wouldn't have been out of place at an ESL march so this flamboyantly gay guy taking over did not get taken well. There are still those who grumble in the street the pub is on, they make false reports all the time of loud behaviour and lock ins.
He's now worried he will lose his licence as someone from this group of morons will say he has had people in the pub. He hasn't of course, we've all been on Houseparty having a laugh (he and his partner are good friends of ours) with other regulars to keep us all sane.
But what would stop them?

EDL not ESL

1forsorrow · 28/03/2020 21:16

EatDessertFire If that is the case @1forsorrow then a lot more people will die. Its that simple. Stay at home with the exception of the four given conditions to be out. Its not hard and noone is exempt however much they justify it. Why will alot more people die? Because I suggested letting the police sort it out? Get a grip.
