Dh says that this is still ok. Apparently he had read it somewhere. I think it's not ok but can't find anything saying that.

Nope... because you well kid could potentially meet an unwell kid, and then you will all get unwell.

PenguinBlizzard · 21/03/2020 07:57

NO!

HollyHocks13 · 21/03/2020 07:58

Absolutely not!

willdoitinaminute · 21/03/2020 08:01

No it doesn’t comply with social distancing.
You can have physical contact with the people you live with but have to maintain 2m distance from everyone else.
Using play equipment that others have used is a potential way of spreading the virus.

Claireshh · 21/03/2020 08:02

This was asked at the press conference yesterday. It was a definite no!

thatblackbag · 21/03/2020 08:03

Not unless they are just kicking a ball to each other and staying six feet apart...or playing tennis...maybe a bike ride with friends would work?

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 21/03/2020 08:06

You can take your kids to the park to play together but you must stay 2m from other families at all times. This is likely to be very difficult unless you’re talking about a large country park. Playgrounds with swings etc. should be totally out of bounds because of all the surface touching that goes on, and kids can’t keep their hands away from their faces.

Parks around here have locked gates to stop this.

Mumpower123 · 21/03/2020 08:10

No. Are you bloody thick!!!

adiposegirl2 · 21/03/2020 08:11

Oysterbabe · 21/03/2020 08:15

No. I'm taking mine 2 to the allotment today to help me. They'll enjoy the sun, fresh air and digging in the mud. We won't see anyone else. They will definitely miss their friends but it's for the greater good.

lemonsandlimes123 · 21/03/2020 08:15

How stupid are you exactly? People are being asked to keep working and risk their lives to support 'society' .Idiots like you make us want to stay home and let it all go to shit.

STAY AT HOME YOU BLOODY IDIOT

ofwarren · 21/03/2020 08:16

How many of these threads are there going to be?
No you cant

willdoitinaminute · 21/03/2020 08:19

Kicking a ball around or tennis is also a potential cross infection risk.
Any surface can carry the virus. If all the children are handling football or tennis ball there is a risk of transfer.
I know this sound pedantic but infection control in my job is very strict so you become used to spotting transmission risks.

BuckingFrolics · 21/03/2020 08:23

OMG. No. Your DP is a fuckwit.

kingis · 21/03/2020 08:24

Are you being serious?!! Confused

Babyfairy0923 · 21/03/2020 08:25

NO

Frenchw1fe · 21/03/2020 08:34

No. They’re closing beaches and parks in France.

Blankscreen · 21/03/2020 08:38

People must just be fucking thick.

Take your dc for a walk somewhere well away from everyone else and stick to your family unit.

ScouseMar · 21/03/2020 08:49

What is actually wrong with people???

The advice given by the government, nhs, scientists etc could not be clearer - we need to practice social distancing, stay 6 feet apart, necessary trips out only........etc

Why are people ignoring this? Makes me so cross!

FamilyOfAliens · 21/03/2020 08:53

How do you know you won’t see anyone else? Is it one allotment on its own with no others?

ArthurMorgan · 21/03/2020 08:58

My sil and a bunch of school mums are all meeting up to let their kids play together. Mine will be upset that she can't go but hey ho.
