Anyone getting married soon?

Getting married at the end of May and already starting to have guests cancel or say they might have to cancel due to coronavirus. I'm absolutely gutted and have spent almost 2 years planning this bloody wedding.
Anyone else in the same boat and what are you doing?
We have wedding insurance but if the government doesn't force the venue to shut then I don't think we can cancel/postpone it unless me, DP or immediate family get ill. I would rather cancel or postpone than have a half-arsed day with hardly any guests there Sad
I know ultimately we just have to wait and see but I'm so so gutted and just want a moan/pity party with fellow brides to be Sad

I'm supposed to be getting married start of May. We're acting as it is happening but appreciate people may not be able to make it. We spoke to the priest today and he seemed hopeful it would still happen.

@lyricallie that's hopeful! I'm just going to wait and see, it's so hard to make decisions with how much it changes day to day.

@janebee4 we bit the bullet today and decided to postpone. We're just waiting to hear back from the priest and venue to see if we can sort out a new date. 😥

My wedding was the end of April and today we decided to postpone to December. The unknown was devastating, I feel much more calm having arranged a new date even though I have still lost a lot of money and now have another 9 months of dieting ahead...

Church of England have issued a statement today saying that church weddings should be limited to 5 people - Bride, Groom, priest and two witnesses. Whether this will be made lawful I don't know, but I don't think large gatherings will be allowed.

We've also postponed now til next June, I had a bit of a cry but now feel much better that the decision has been made. The only person who couldn't change to the new date was my wonderful hair and make up artist, but everyone else has been able to without any extra fees and has been so so lovely about it.

I'm sure they will re book another time like the holiday companies .. get in contact now if I were you ..
people are going to be twitchy for a while even if it does blow over .
I have a holiday booked for July and I don't think I'm going so I can't see how April weddings will go ahead .. the staff won't want you there will they?

End of June for me. DP has convinced me to give it another month before we think about postponing.

Our wedding is small, only 19 guests than a total of 85 for an evening do. We have 3 elderly guests, one of whom definitely won't be able to come if this is still as bad. Noone flying from overseas.

Our registry office is a heritage site who have stopped doing public tours, and our reception venue has just closed its doors so the decision may be taken out our hands.
