@lumpy76 yes, both the steroids and pentasa (mesalazine) depress the immune system. Had a long bout of steroids late last year, but now thankfully off them. He has pancolitis too. Hope your DS is safe. Awful worrying time atmSad

Profound and severe LD here.
I think we may have to face the same problems that Italy are having at the moment of prioritising care, I can’t see my child getting priority over a NT child. That’s my biggest fear.
This is my biggest fear too.
There's no way they would save my child over another NT one.

@freddiethegreat I tried to dissuade Ds from going to the gym tonight...he was having none of it...the gym has only started since he's felt better after his dx - he lost 10kg in 9 weeks and was very thin - he decided he needed to do the gym thing!! I've told him he's probably banned from next week! Offered to buy him weights for at home instead.

Yes I have an 11 year old DS with a whole host of conditions and I am at risk myself as unwell and taking chemo tablets.

I'll be working from home as of today but I'm starting to get worried.

@paradyning it’s very scary times for us, I’m fortunate that my dc’s school has given parents the opportunity to pull our children out if we want to. We have decided to keep our child home for the foreseeable. I’m lucky that we live in the countryside, I can get them out each day without coming into contact with others until the time comes that we may have to self isolate.
For the first time in my dc’s life I am feeling resentful towards parents with healthy NT children, I know this is very unreasonable of me but children with disabilities are often bottom of the pile and that won’t ever change.
Look after yourself and your dc.
