Wonder why the project had to be secret. Far too often see all the pro Israeli content everywhere not just social media platforms but also forums like this.

Israel’s secret influencer campaign exposed | The Jerusalem Post

The filings reveal that a firm called Bridges Partners LLC has been hired to manage an influencer network under a project code-named the “Esther Project.”

All you have to avoid is being antisemitic and making personal attacks. Many people here manage it every day.

No one is being anti semetic. Saying it doesn’t make it true.

Personally think the person who boasted at the start of the war about certain things is still here getting posts deleted as they are ‘identifying’. Noticed that I have referenced it a couple of times on different occasions and each time the post vanishes.

There is a poster still around who definitely did not understand the difference between supporting a free Palestine and supporting Hamas. It’s the lack nuance.

I don't know what 'identifyimg' means but if you keep attacking them I imagine you will be deleted. If you have a rational.basis for a conversation with them I suspect you won't be. I'm sure MN can clarify as obviously I don't make the rules, but its really not hard.

There are people on this board that are constantly making anti Muslim statements that are sickening but posts stay up. Aren’t deleted despite being reported.

The two tier system is alive and well.

Do you report them? I have reported anti muslim statements and they are deleted. They won't be deleted if you dont report them.

You’ve been across these boards from the start so I am going to ignore the pretend ignorance.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Yes I have reported them as I am sure others have. But they stay in place. Can’t remember the last thread where the anti Muslim language was particularly disgusting but sure it was active yesterday on this very board.

There was an interview with a senior American politician who said it was in the bible they had to support Israel. Can’t remember his name but when challenged couldn’t ‘remember’ which chapter/verse to back up the statement.

Senator Ted "I only joined Congress to defend Israel" Cruz.

It was during an interview with Tucker Carlson, Cruz said:

“As a Christian, growing up in Sunday school, I was taught from the Bible that those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed. I want to be on the blessing side of things,”

Carlson: “Those who bless the government of Israel?”

Cruz: “Those who bless Israel is what it says, it doesn’t say the government of, it says the nation of Israel,”

Cruz struggles to pinpoint the chapter and verse and Carlson questioned his theological grounding.

Carlson : “You’re quoting a Bible phrase you don’t have context for, you don’t know where in the Bible it is, and that’s your theology? I’m confused … I’m a Christian, I want to know what you’re talking about,”

Cruz: “Biblically, we are commanded to support Israel. Second — ”

Carlson : "Hold on, We’re commanded as Christians to support the government of Israel?”

Cruz: “Yes, but most people understand that line in Genesis to refer to the Jewish people, God’s chosen people.”

Carlson : “You’re saying as a Christian, if I believe in Jesus, I have to support the modern state of Israel?”

Unfortunately millions of evangelical Americans are taught using the Scofield Reference Bible which is a heavily annotated copy of the Bible which misinterprets scripture and promotes support of Israel.

Thank you for sharing. Couldn’t remember who it was. I mean hasn’t Ted Cruz run for the presidency? Sure he will try again unless Trump manages to turn over the constitution and is allowed to run for a third term.

Cruz was one of the many candidates in the crazy 2016 cycle, where Trumps MAGA movement destroyed all the old school Republican candidates. Ever since then he has bent the knee to Trump.

The 2028 candidate will be whomever the donor class "chooses" 🫣😉

The two tier system is alive and well.

There are also antisemitic comments that stay up and personal attacks that stay up. They're not always consistent with what gets deleted and what doesn't, doesn't mean there's some conspiracy or "two tiers", whatever that means.

MartaMooMoo · 05/10/2025 11:49

It’s the way the posts are written. I can spot them a mile off now.

I haven’t seen many anti semitic posts and ofc they should be removed. I have seen looots of posts claiming something is anti semitic when it clearly is not. The Israeli government themselves are kings of calling everyone anti semiotic if they say anything critical. I think that’s why it’s taking so long to call out the genocide for what it is. Everyone is terrified of Israel and being called antisemitic.

Who is terrified of Israel? I find that a bizarre idea. Noone on Mumsnet, that's for sure - why would they be, what is Israel going to do? and I haven't noticed much terror of being called antisemitic either. There is a lot of this sort of defiance though. And a lot of people emplpying the Livingstone Formulation.

Of course there’s two tiers. In everything.

There was an arson attack on a mosque in East Sussex. Just double checked and hasn’t been reported on the bbc news app though the story of Megan Markle going to Paris fashion week has.

You don't see many flagrantly anti semitic posts because they get removed.

And the reason it's taking "so long to call out the genocide" is nothing to do with social media and everything to do with it being an extremely complex court case.

No one in the West is "terrified of Israel" - I'd be a lot more terrified if I lived under the Hamas regime than living where I do and being able to criticise both the Israel government and Hamas as much as I want to.

The Board of Deputies have been quick to condemn it.

I don't know why you can't see it on the BBC. The timestamp is 5.06 this morning

It isn’t live on the homepage of the BBC app now when I checked. I mean who is looking at news items at 5am on a Sunday morning?

I’d be interested to know how long it stayed live on the homepage. I’m sure some clever person will share the stats on social media once they’ve worked it out.

Though like I said the Megan story is very prominent despite it not actually being news.

Well I found it in seconds. I expect its not a headline because they don't yet know what happened, what the motivation is etc. At a sensitive time news outlets have to careful about how they pitch something. That is responsible journalism. There are regular attacks on synagogues at the moment, most of them are not widely reported and certainly not headline news.

There is absolutely no evidence of that. Just repeating it doesn't make it so. Thet have done a rather bad job of shutting down criticism that's for sure. Pretty much every western leader has criticised Israel many times, numerous UN resolutions, hyper critical media.
