It’s just beyond awful. The idf have dropped leaflets telling Palestinians to move. There is no where for them to go. This is beyond awful. More children will be blown apart, more families destroyed and all for what? Sick beyond what I ever imagined.

IDF soldier apparently saying “we are here in Rafah, we won’t stop until we have burnt the whole of Gaza”. Then sets alight to the home he is standing in.

I wonder if one day he’ll feel a gnawing sickness everyday from what he is doing now and will never be able to undo?

@ScrollingLeaves thats so true, I guess many of these young soldiers are egging each other on and also totally brainwashed at this stage. Will they ever be able to live with themselves when they finally realise what they have done?

Just saw a video from Rafah, pieces of bodies being recovered. Not a Hamas hand though as they claim, again a child's hand charcoal grey and missing from its main body. So devastatingly sad. Last weekend TS concert was much more important. Euros much more of a talking point. Wags much more a talking point. A recovered charcoal hand that belongs to a hand, majority of the world is silent. This is truly a fucked up world we live in.

So sadistic. The numbers of dead and injured are bad enough but they are also completely destroying the fabric of Palestinian life, demolishing their homes, schools, universities, hospitals. What happens after the fighting ends? how do you rebuild Gaza and rebuild its people?

All the displaced people should be able to live in Israel, with equal rights, while Gaza is being rebuilt, and then beyond too. For most of them it will be a return to their ancestral homeland anyway.

I read something on Abier’s twitter feed the other day how Palestinians have told her that they have gotten used to hearing shouts from deep under the rubble from people still alive, but that cannot be saved. They simply cannot get to them. Passers by are in the hideous position of having to keep walking as they know there is no way of getting to them and nothing they can do.

Well, this is the entire point of genocide.

Unbearable horror.

I saw some really sad videos today. A little 7 month old baby giggling in a tent playing peek a boo. She's spent her entire life in a tent and has lost grandparents, an aunt and other family members. I'm just amazed that a traumatised displaced family can raise a baby in those conditions but am heartbroken that they've had to do so.

Then I turned on Glastonbury and there are so many Palestinian flags being flown. It's only a tiny thing but it's lovely to see.

I pray that this madness ends soon. I have very little hope given the genocidal intentions of Netanyahu and his government and their backers but we live in hope.

@ScrollingLeaves thank you for posting this. It is so, so moving. I have only watched the first part so far as I just couldn’t face it this morning but the part I have seen is beautiful, poignant and heartbreaking.

I hope the western world wakes up soon but I don’t think we will ever be forgiven for enabling this genocide. Nor should we. 💔💔💔💔

Let me just say it will mostly be the leaders of the Western nations that won't be forgiven and the folks who deflected, lied, ignored the atrocities will be shunned when the true extent of what they allowed/excused is revealed.

Others like so many that post and quietly lurk, who allowed their hearts to be open to humanity will be remembered and I don't pass this message on often enough but the people in the region that I know see this and love and thank all of you that fight daily to be their voices ❤️💙💜
