It’s just beyond awful. The idf have dropped leaflets telling Palestinians to move. There is no where for them to go. This is beyond awful. More children will be blown apart, more families destroyed and all for what? Sick beyond what I ever imagined.

The idf have no plan apart from indiscriminate killing.

https://x.com/drtruthe/status/1789311217259139492?s=61&t=nilGqPeurpC5xVqZAZdZog - this image is very disturbing. I don’t want to upset anyone. The people who really need to see it are those still defending the actions of Israel. And I can show them thousands more images if they think this is an unfortunate isolated incident. This is what idf WANT to do. It is the purpose of the bombs.

You have thus been allowed to be inflammatory to those who don't agree with you.

I am not denying anything - it is all in your head and imagination.

I mean you literally just said upthread you don't know what is happening because of disinformation etc. So that's a denial that these atrocities are happening.

You keep calling me inflammatory. I think maybe you don't like the points I'm making. Or maybe you hope that by saying it enough times Mumsnet will agree? Disputing your points is not being inflammatory. Denying or casting doubt on genuine atrocities is inflammatory by anyone's measure. I'm sure you would be outraged if I claimed that October 7th was disinformation or AI. Outrageous.

Connie Don't waste your time and energy, ignore and disengage, it's not worth it and people can clearly see what is happening.

Parkingt111 · 04/06/2024 14:51

Agree with @BelleHathor
It's just gaslighting at this point.

ConnieCounter · 04/06/2024 15:00

I know. Sorry I should know better. The denial of atrocities is hard to ignore but I'll try harder.

It's so hard isn't it.

And so ridiculous people presume that those of us who think the murder of Palestinians is horrific somehow don't also think the murders of Israelis on 7/10 were also horrific.

So it's such a cheap shot to say 'what about 7/10'.

It's perfectly possible to condemn Hamas and also the Israeli government. Plenty of us do.

I am not denying anything - it is all in your head and imagination.

So if it is, just state that both what happened on 07/10 and what has been happening in Gaza since then is inhuman. It's simple.

anotherlevel · 04/06/2024 16:46

@whatsitcalledwhen exactly. It's getting boring now isn't it. When they can't make a point they resort to either "what about Hamas" or "what about Oct 7" as if any of us said we didn't care or weren't bothered.

Finallyloggedin · 04/06/2024 18:11

Agreed all, it’s just pathetic, isn’t it. Something I read on X (so all the haters can discount it straight away anyway) is that some accounts on X, Instagram, Facebook, etc (please note mnhq, I am NOT implying that this happens on mumsnet) get paid for managing to engage others in debate. I always try to keep that in mind when on those platforms, although I don’t always manage to.

What she went through is unimaginable. She is an inspirational young woman. I hope she has a blessed and happy long life filled with love and joy . 🙏
There are really no adequate words in these situations. But the human spirit is incredible.

What unimaginable bravery - to think she did not even cry, and she focussed on listening to the Koran

It is so good she has been helped in America. Well done on those there who never gave up trying to arrange it.

This is one of the toughest things about the measures Israel decided to implement. They target the most vulnerable. Big strong Hamas fighters aren't going to affected by starvation the way the disabled, the young, the elderly, pregnant women are. The posts of seen of people suffering from severe malnutrition have all been people that were suffering from existing disabilities or the very young. It's hard to understand why Israel have chosen to do that if this is really all about Hamas and the hostages.

No genocide deniers seen on this thread.

For a start, the IDF operations have not been designated a genocide in the UK.

No how can one deny an "alleged" genocide when it has not been proven to have taken place.

Terrible things have happened on both sides.

@ConnieCounter It was one of YOUR comments that was deleted though!

Scirocco · 04/06/2024 20:14

Perhaps rather than trying to deny, ignore or minimise, it might be more constructive for people to actually watch and listen to what is happening. Can people actually see what is happening and think, "Yeah, I'm ok with that"?

“The decapitated child in Rafah has been named Ahmed Al-Najjar

The decapitated child in a viral video from Rafah has been identified as Ahmad Al-Najjar. He was only one and a half years old when he was killed alongside 40 other Palestinians, including his mother and his two sisters, Houda and Arkan, in an Israeli airstrike on their tents.”

Like I said, too much disinformation, AI, fake videos, old videos, bias, propaganda, no provenance, no verification.

From BOTH sides.

The problem with your opinions is that, once again, you fail to provide reliable and trustworthy facts to support them. Until you do, this remains your opinions.
I, personally, rely on humanitarian agencies and other reputable organisations to inform my views; certainly not Hamas or the Israeli government. I also include the USA/UK in this too.

Absolutely horrendous. Biden is a fucking disgrace.

Finallyloggedin · 14/06/2024 13:36

Yet more evil. Beyond words 😭😭😭

@ConnieCounter agreed, Biden belongs in The Hague with the rest of them.

I just saw this quote on X

”We have to understand about pro-Israel apologists that what they mean by “Pro Hamas” is not really that you support Hamas but that you don't dehumanize the Palestinians. I, for example, have opposed Hamas all my life and will continue to do so. However, I am to them “Pro Hamas” why? Because I refuse to dehumanize Palestinians or accept Israeli propaganda.”
