this thread is to document the racist, criminal and dehumanizing behaviour by the most “moral army in the world” both during its most recent bombardment of Gaza and across decades of military occupation in the West Bank.

It’s all rather odd, and I say this as someone who is highly critical of Israel’s murdering of thousands of innocent children. Were the hostages all made to do this - perhaps to protect those who are still hostages? Hope to hear the full story in time.

I’m afraid my feeling is that they are being coerced. Hope I’m wrong. But if it’s fake it needs to be called out, just as the Israeli lies and propaganda need to be called out.

Here's more footage. Her smile and expression paints a very different story to what is reported in the media. Are they being told by Israel to say it? Or are there some that are treated kindly and others not?

@whatswrongwiththeworldddd wow! ref the thai hostages being released, they look like they actually have empathy for and care about their captors.

@Thereissomelight either Hamas is coercing them to react like this or Israel is telling them to say something different. But from what I can tell, we have video images of their reactions, body language and facial expressions but from the media we only have what's been reported.

I don't think you can either @treeees. Even if they're acting, they're not actors and you'd be able to tell.

I don't think and I've not seen any released Palestinian prisoners react this way to the IDF.

@whatswrongwiththeworldddd no I've not seen any either. Just children roughly being pushed and pulled about by IDF looking terrified.

I think they look incredibly well and looked after. I mean they don't look starved. They have clean clothes. I don't think you can fake those expressions. They have washed glossy hair. I personally think if hamas was forcing them to act this way they wouldn't have gone through the trouble of letting them shower and change. The young lady looks better than I do on a day I have made an effort. Which I think is great!

Meant to add. Ofcourse they will be happy to be going home too. I'm not oblivious to this. But they aren't being marched out like those with the IDF

Some of those being released have had family members killed - though I know the communities have questions about what exactly happened on Oct 7. So the extensive hugging and cheer definitely seems odd. I know they must be ecstatic to be safe and free and believe me I would love to think there is genuine good feeling between them (as apparently there were good relations between some of the hostages and their Palestinian neighbours before this current madness) But I just can’t see how ALL of them can be so madly hugging and cheerful. The bottom line is, there are still hostages being held and the released hostages must be thinking of those.

@Thereissomelight I understand that too. I guess until someone is allowed to talk without the IDF being in their way we won't know the full story

Interestingly enough @Desertrose2023 , there's a thread in site stuff just now where the op is complaining about all the copying and pasting at the start of this thread. The op wants mn to do something about so much c&p....yet the same poster is on a thread about hamas atrocities which was stated by someone c&p link after link...

I do wonder if the hostages know this themselves and that’s why the solidarity with their captors.

I would love to think it’s this and not coercion because of hostages still held.
