Documenting Israeli army racism and torture

Desertrose2023 · 15/11/2023 04:25

this thread is to document the racist, criminal and dehumanizing behaviour by the most “moral army in the world” both during its most recent bombardment of Gaza and across decades of military occupation in the West Bank.

to start, here is a video of Israeli soldiers chanting they will turn Gazans into Kebabs.

"It's incredibly easy to share heartbreaking stories and photos from "both sides.""

@Alcemeg 99% of Israelis are still living their lives as normal. They have food, electricity, water. Access to hospitals as and when they need them. They can go to school, eat out at restaurants and take their children to the swing park.

Stop acting like "both sides" are going through the same thing. They are not. Not even close.

whatswrongwiththeworldddd · 18/11/2023 18:19

From what I see one side is crying, killed, injured wounded, no life whatsoever, without the basic necessities of life and the other side have everything, laughing, making social media videos of themselves mocking the other side, partying etc. it's not the same

Alcemeg · 18/11/2023 18:40

It's OK. I posted some beautiful images of peace, but it's too scary (and potentially dangerous) to post on these threads. I have withdrawn my post and will not post again on this subject.

Lobster7 · 18/11/2023 18:41

@Alcemeg Dangerous? Really!

ChickHenLittle · 18/11/2023 18:57

Dangerous?! It's Mumsnet...

whatswrongwiththeworldddd · 18/11/2023 18:58

For clarification @Alcemeg was that peace in Israel or Palestine?

untitledmum · 18/11/2023 18:59

I hear you @Alcemeg
The anger and hatred coming through this thread is terrifying.
As an English Jew having lived in Israel a couple of years, I can tell you that Israel is not interested in war, they are not interested in killing civilians. They just want peace and to get rid of terror.

Every army makes mistakes and there are incidents where innocent people may have been killed, but the core difference between a good army and an immoral one is what motivates them.

But again, I'm not really sure why I'm wasting my words, because you lot here are adamant in spewing hatred and anti-Israel rhetoric. Its scary.

Lobster7 · 18/11/2023 19:02

"Every army makes mistakes and there are incidents where innocent people may have been killed"

Well there's the understatement of the century.

untitledmum · 18/11/2023 19:11

@Lobster7 You missed the main part of the sentence, "The core difference is what motivates them".

I know people in the Israeli army. They have been told not to shoot civilians. They have been told not to shoot kids.

Again, mistakes have happened, but the Israelis are not intentionally killing innocent civilians.

For my own sanity, I'm not going to be replying any further on this thread because honestly its futile. We're all believing who and what we want to believe.
I for one am proud do be supporting a country who values democracy, peace and the lives of all innocent people.

The Israelis are too busy taking the piss out of the atrocities happening to the Palestinian people.
has anyone seen the videos where they are pretending to be Palestinians and getting bombed and their children dying? There’s also videos of them taking the mick that they don’t have any water.

Have you watched/read any of the videos and links on this thread? How are you still saying they are not killing the Palestinians deliberately but mistakes are happening?

@untitledmum
Again, mistakes have happened, but the Israelis are not intentionally killing innocent civilians.

Do you think it is possible for the Israeli military to shoot extraordinarily sophisticated missiles (aimed with precision geolocation technology) at Gaza schools and hospitals, where there are hundreds of innocent civilians, and truly believe that by some strange force of magic a great many of those innocent civilians won’t be killed and injured?

Do you think language has any meaning
if you intentionally shoot at people, have your faculties intact, but say you are not
intentionally killing them?

Maybe they are saying too bad, if there is one Hamas person there among a hundred people, then we’ll bomb those hundred people to get at the one Hamas. But I still cannot see that in that scenario the killing of those 99 innocent people is not intentional.

stormy4319trevor · 18/11/2023 19:32

Quite peculiar if people have to be told NOT to shoot kids. Your average person would never even think of it.

HaveALaff · 18/11/2023 22:22

I'm reading testimonies from IDF soldiers on break the silence. Although there are far worse testimonies this one got to me. The gentleman was disabled and they essentially tricked him to get explosives. Lots of evidence on there that Israeli's use Palestinians as human shields.

"So they knocked on doors and found someone. He was retarded. They said, “Go up to the mosque. There are pipes in the minaret. Bring them down.” They didn’t even tell him it was explosives."

It wasn't explosives in the end but in lot of cases it can be. They called it the"neighbour procedure". They would order Palestinians to conduct dangerous procedures. This testimony really triggered me as I work closely with people who have learning disabilities.

Well there's the understatement of the century.

Exactly. When Daniel Hagari, IDF spokesperson has openly said “The emphasis is on damage and not on accuracy” they are openly telling us their strategy and people still try to deny it. Weird.

treeees · 18/11/2023 22:42

I'm not sure the scary behaviour here is the people on this thread exposing what is going on. On the contrary, it's the behavior of the IDF that's actually truly scary.

thatone · 19/11/2023 09:39

I really hope the people orchestrating this appalling massacre one day face an International Criminal Court. Very unlikely but not impossible.

Hamas is also evil and they should also face the consequences of their atrocities. But Israel is a sovereign state.

And in response to people who defend the murder of the innocents as being 'inadvertant' and 'unavoidable' and 'cannot be helped' etc - you are basically saying that those people's lives are dispensable.

Well in that case all lives are dispensable - even Israeli and British and everyone else on the planet - so that is a quite ridiculous logic.

treeees · 19/11/2023 09:56

Just putting this one here. From instagram. Former Israeli intelligence chief casts every single person in Gaza as a "combatant" and therefore a supposed legitimate target of war. Pure warmongering lies exposing a genocidal intent.

whatswrongwiththeworldddd · 19/11/2023 10:07

With the logic that all Palestinians are combatants because they voted for Hamas then if you apply the same logic, all Israelis are complicit with Netanyahu's war crimes and genocide.

treeees · 19/11/2023 10:13

From twitter

https://twitter.com/EbrahimNasreen/status/1726045635307303179

Two Israeli soldiers using dogs to viciously attack a Palestinian teenager, while a third soldier records it and laughs.

ScrollingLeaves · 19/11/2023 10:22

That boy looks about 11 - 13. That is horrible.

Where did the third soldier put that out? Was it a boast?

It seems many in this Israeli regime are the lowest sort of criminal, ignorant thugs.

I said it on another thread and I'll say it again here. Maybe we need to be a bit louder about it.

Anti Israel DOES NOT mean anti semitism. They're two very different things. No one is against or has a problem with Jewish people. But we do have is a problem with the Israeli GOVERNMENT and their inhumane mistreatment of innocent people of Palestine.

If you support the Israeli government and their atrocities and people rightly call you out on it, they're not being anti semitic.
