I'm surprised this has received such little media coverage. From the perspective of Gaza Christians:
Oldest church bombed

Truth is always an early "casualty" in any war. What we know is indisputably true is that Hamas launched their rocket attack on civilians, kidnapped Israelis, murdered Israelis in cold blood including women and children, in the full knowledge that Israel would retaliate. Then they claim to represent the victims of the war they started.

Is that right? Is that what's happening?!

I don't know what to say. I'm so shocked.

Nothing about this is verified. There are mutiple versions. There are also pictures and interviews with rescue workers who clearly refute the idea that there were only 20 fatalities and that it didn't damage the hospital.

I don't trust anything anyone says. The reality of war is that it is all about lies and propaganda and both sides are masters of this. The US is no more a neutral party than Qatar is. There is no one trustworthy right now because the truth is the conducive to fighting a war with an enemy.

I'm not sure why it might surprise people that Hamas could use a church or its vicinity for their activities?

I mean, it's not like they have any love for chrisitans ("after saturday comes sunday "is one of their sayings)

For them, it's a win win situation. If Israel attacks a church, that's great for Hamas. And if it doesn't, that's great for Hamas.

Of course, I don't know for sure. But I do know a lot about Hamas and how they operate and what they are capable of. So it's not really much of a stretch of the imagination. Although I can imagine the Christian community is not really in a position to say to no to Hamas either.

Defending the bombing of churches and places of worship with defenceless civilians is absolutely despicable. Honestly fear for the souls of people who believe this is ok.

Blame Hamas for what Hamas does. Blame Israel for what Israel does. It’s quite simple.

What if Hamas cynically uses civillian infrastructure to launch missiles at Israel or to attack Israel as we know it does? Is Israel expected to defend its own civiliians or allow Hamas to operate freely because it does so from civilian insitutions?

Attacking a church for the sake of attacking a church is psychopathic, obviously.

Attacking a legitimate target next to a church - that becomes more complicated.

I assume Israeli lives matter more for Israelis? Just like British lives matter more for the British government than non British lives.

Not sure what whiteness has to do with it. Half of Israelis are descended from refugees from middle eastern countries, you can't really tell them apart from Palestinians (they also have Palestinians with light skin and blue eyes - guess the crusaders have something to answer for there - so I dunno). And not forgetting the Thais massacred (they're quite dark) and the Palestinian Israelis murdered including Bedouin who are really very dark. Oh, and some Ethiopian Israelis too (they are actually black!) I believe. Is that dark enough for you? Sorry that whiter Eruopean descended Israelis also got massacred and kidnapped
