Hey lovely people

I've just come off the October bus and because of my long cycles my spreadsheet says that I skip November and would be due in December.

So I thought I'd start the December bus.

Here's the start of the stats - looking forward to some friends hopping on board soon.

P.S. why is everything going bold?

liahgen66 · 06/04/2010 11:47

I'm back to the bottom, cd1 for me,

Oh lou am getting excited, drag everything out of that cupboard.

Loujalou · 06/04/2010 11:55

Nope looks like RTD is here. Oh well can join you with the fit stripper at the back of the bus Lia. Looks like we can be cycle buddies.

All the font in the messages are bold.

liahgen66 · 06/04/2010 11:56

Oh Bugger lou I was hopeful for you. (well and me so we can see how reliable I am. )

Oh well, to the back, (or January) we go.

Good luck everyone else. Hope you are feeling more positive catherine

SpanishLady · 06/04/2010 12:17

thanks so much eveyone!

wow, its really hard to keep the news to myself as want to tell my sisters and friends etc but I am sticking to the plan - but have called the doctors to find out what their process is and when to call back for the book in apt etc and they have asked me to come in 19th April for an initial check up and chat so feel that stuff is starting.

I was thinking if there was anything I did that might help someone else but to be honest I took mostly the advice of the ladies on here so you have probably heard it already. For what it is worth I did:

  • elevated my bum after BD for 10 mins or so
  • used the CB OPK (digital smiley face ones)
  • BD'd the night before I got my surge and that was over 24 hours after I had last BD'd - then BD'd the night I got my positive LH surge test and the 3 nights after that.

I think we SWI too much given the perceived advice from the experts but think itmight have been the sex the night before my surge which was fresh stuff so to speak that might have done it. I think I may have ovulated the same day I got my LH surge as that afternoon I had the pains in my side.

PinkiePoo · 06/04/2010 13:22

Congrats spanishlady bet you are over the moon!!!

catherine really hope it still is good news for you. I'm pretty positive everything is gonna be fine.

I am on proper knicker watch now

Mimi1977 · 06/04/2010 14:43

Realised I'm actually on CD28 - could someone change that when they update the stats please. Sure I could manage it but worried I'll mess everyone elses up!!

So what were your two week wait symptoms Spanishlady??

SpanishLady · 06/04/2010 15:09

Ha! Well after swearing I wouldn't symptom spot - there were a few signs which made me wonder .....

  • boobies - not so much the tenderness as get that leading up to my AF anyway but I had some 'shooting' pains up and down them once or twice which was abit alarming and like nothing I'd experienced before.

  • sensitivity to smell - again I had this in cycle one (wanted to throw up when I smelt coffee/vinegar) so ignored it and put it down to an overactive imagination - but the night before my AF was due we went back to a friends house after a meal out and she lit some fragrant candles and I literally walked in the room and had to immediately walk back out again and went and threw up my dinner

*biggest one was my period pain not starting when it usually did - I was due Friday and by Thursday night or Fri morning at the latest should have felt very heavy and tender round my cervix and had back pain but I had no pain whatsoever - though had mild period pain symptoms from the previous Sunday up to the wednesday

  • had the sensation of a 'pulling' in my stomach and also mid week felt like I had a spiky ball gently scrapping against me - but my mum reckoned that was nonsense!
PinkiePoo · 06/04/2010 15:27

Well spanishlady its pretty safe to say i have none of those symptoms

All i have had is horrific cramping, bad skin and sore nips (all of these are normal symptoms for me)

Evil AF to be.........

Mimi1977 · 06/04/2010 15:55

Come on pinkie it's not over till she arrives!!! `PMA!!

PinkiePoo · 06/04/2010 16:11

Ha ha very true and you are not the first to say this to me. Think the OH is sick of my moaning, whoops.

Ok ok. i am all fine now. grumbles over....

Positive baby thoughts Thanks mimi

Prinpo · 06/04/2010 20:38

Ladies, I bid you farewell. AF got me today so I'm commiserating this evening with a steak so rare a good vet could bring it back to life and a hefty glass of wine.

Congratulations to all the positives and best of luck to everyone else.

PinkiePoo · 06/04/2010 20:56

Ahhh sorry prinpo next time lucky eh?? You enjoy those naughty delights....every cloud and all that

Mimi1977 · 06/04/2010 21:02

Okay - first time of doing this. Sorry Prinpo that AF got you - have taken you off and corrected my correct CD - I was a day behind what I am.

Congrats spanishlady!

catherine hope all ok and you're feeling alright.

Sorry to those who AF got. prinpo hope you enjoyed the steak and wine, sounds lovely. I think I will shortly be joining you, feeling very crampy and sore round cervix so think AF is soon to put in appearance.

Does anyone else get constipated just before AF? Still trying to work out what is normal for me.

CatherineEarnshaw · 06/04/2010 21:58

Congratulations Spanishlady you made me all goosepimply!

WELL....last night after that post on her I did a cbd and it said not pregnant so i went into a complete decline for an hour - when i decided to do another with same sample which said pregnant

so who knows - still said only 1-2 this morning and I have had a couple of fading tests resulting in mc so am hyper

I have literally hundreds of ebay cheapys ( but from states so really fab ones) so dh telling me not to test is pointless....

todays ebay ones looked more hopeful and am deeling a bit washed out tonight but who knows....

THANK YOU all for being so supportive - its such a lonely and all consuming thing and it is lovely to have support on here!

CatherineEarnshaw · 06/04/2010 22:01

just a quick query...

does anyone know about those digital ovulation tests with ?

mine showed a smile on saturday sunday AND monday - would you say i ovulated tues/weds or...?

womanlytales · 06/04/2010 22:27

Congratulations Spanishlady - Am thrilled for you Thanks for sharing the symptions and what you tried...
I am dreading the 2ww only because I am at the start of it and feel like I am obsessing too much already.

chico193 · 06/04/2010 22:44

I am really confused! I need to correct my CD, is actually CD40 today, 16dpo.

After having had some unusual symptoms including increasing nausea and extra sore boobs and nipples, this morning thought AF had started, had bleeding and normal cramps. However, this evening cramps have eased off, went to the loo and bleeding has practically stopped. This is not normal! I know I am probably just being over-optimistic, but could I have light bleeding and still be pregnant?

Hi Chico - I'm afraid I dont know but would you consider testing in a day or two if the bleeding doesnt come back?

Pinkie - my mum told me that she never got any symptoms leading up to her pregnancies - the only 'clue' was she got her usual feeling that her AF was coming/period pains but the AF just didnt actually show up and as she was regular it was odd for her not to get her AF when expected so she'd test and hey presto...so I wouldnt read too much into the 2ww symptom spotting (though of course I didnt take my advice on this myself!) mind you after feeling abit foolish after my Feb cycle - the 'clues' I got this last cycle I ignored or dismissed as thought I couldnt cope with getting my hopes up every month only to be disappointed - but you know what I'd have looked for them anyway.

I am rattling on - but getting period pains doesnt mean AF will arrive!

spanishlady thank you. I am very irregular, so i'm not 'late' as such as i can go to CD 40. So will just wait and see, the cramping has subsided a little now.

Soooo pleased for you though, yes these few weeks will be worrying but i am very positive everything will be great and you can really start to enjoy being pregnant.
