Hey lovely people

I've just come off the October bus and because of my long cycles my spreadsheet says that I skip November and would be due in December.

So I thought I'd start the December bus.

Here's the start of the stats - looking forward to some friends hopping on board soon.

bensmum If you get a bfn then perhaps the period pain was ovulation? Maybe you'll be due next Friday now.

boba82 · 22/03/2010 16:19

So sorry nicky x x

rosieposey · 22/03/2010 17:28

Ok im in shock a little bit. I got a positive opk last Sunday and had been SWI'ing with abandon from Saturday morning through till Wednesday. I figured i was at most 8dpo today (probably 7) but being the poas addict i am i started testing this morning. Nothing doing.

Then i had the busiest day today and literally hadnt had anything to drink or been to the loo from 8 this morning till 4 this afternoon (not recommended) I just thought as i cant keep away from them that i would test as had super concentrated sample so i used an internet 10 miu cheapie and a slightly more pricey internet (you know the ones with the plastic casing like you get with the supermarkets) I always am using two as a 'just incase' after that evap fiasco last month.

Anyway, i left them both and thought they were both neg after three minutes (but the dye was still going across the screen) so checked on them both about 10 mins later and they both had a second (very faint) line. I could see it without squinting, or tilting or anything DH could and so could DD1.

I just cant believe it, both that i could be pg and that i could find out so early (AF not due till Saturday) I suppose given that they were both so faint and it was a very concentrated sample shows just how early it is. Will do a FR tomorrow just to be sure but two lines on two different tests from the same sample is looking good

boba82 · 22/03/2010 17:34

Oooh sounds very promising rosieposey I'll keep everything crossed for you! Let us know in the morning.

mumatron · 22/03/2010 19:18

oooh sounds good rosie

af got me at last.

never mind at least i can have my bloods done tomorrow.

Bensmum76 · 22/03/2010 19:30

Lou, I last tested 8 days ago and was negative. Am thinking of testing this weekend then going from there.
Digitalgirl what you said may be right, my sister has been ttc for over a year after having a miscarriage last year and said that she gets pain when she ovulates too.
I never knew our bodies could be so complicated!
I have my fingers crossed for you Rosieposey.

MountainFairy · 22/03/2010 20:01

Good luck Rosieposey. On the similar topic: how long after a clearblue until the actual ovulation? Should we SWI more than once a day around that time? Just curiousity, I know that once every two days throughout the cycle is recommended...
I think I'll jump DH tonight just in case it is not too late from Saturday morning surge...

liahgen66 · 22/03/2010 20:24

rosie I am so keeping evrything crossed for you, are you tsting with fmu tomorrow?

Hi everyone else, bust with downstairs being redocorated and floors sanded this week, so not much internet connection. Only 14 days to go.

mumatron bugger

rosieposey · 22/03/2010 20:34

Yes Lia Im pretty sure its going to be ok though as they are both still there and both still have a faint line - i just dont see how i could get two false positives or evaps from completely different tests. I will have to wait for the morning though as holding for those 8 hours was probably the equivalent to holding overnight - it was very very dark and very very concentrated iyswim?

Mumatron thats rubbish sorry to hear about AF.

Ok if i really have done it then i am swearing by preseed as well as the opks this month as my EWCM is not very good at the best of times (or i just dont notice it) so i thought id try it as i have read good things about it, is anyone else using it at all?

rosieposey · 23/03/2010 07:28

Well couldnt test with FMU as woke up at 4 am bursting to go to the loo. I had only held it for 5 hours though and had had something small to drink before bedtime. Anyway i thought that i would test as it was sort of FMU and i did two and they both came up negative. I wonder if yesterday afternoons sample was so concentrated that both tests just picked up the tiniest bit of hcg and it really does need to be that dark and concentrated for anything to show right now.

I dont really know what else it could be as two positives from two separate tests i thought would be ok, not feeling so confident now though ... ahh the perils of testing early - will wait till lunchtime and test again as will try and hold since 4.30 this morning - if i dont get another positive i will consider it a fluke as they arent reliable like FR or anything. It is a bit though as i am looking at them now and you can still see the faint line on both of them. Maybe you shouldnt use really really concentrated urine or something as it produces false positives?

digitalgirl · 23/03/2010 08:07

rosie so sorry it's confusing. Could you not wait a couple of days as the amount of hcg should have doubled by then. Easy to say I know - but if you are pregnant then you'll have a much more definitive answer if you wait a bit longer. Like you said 8dpo is very early.

rosieposey · 23/03/2010 08:17

Digitagirl i should have read that before i just went to the loo but I couldnt hold onto my wee till midday (no camels bladder here) so i went just now and dipped an internet 10 miu and a clear line came up within two minutes. I threw the sample away so didnt test with the FR but am pretty convinced now i have a third bfp that its looking positive - you can see this one better than yesterdays but i wonder why last nights didnt show (must have been that glass of water at bedtime). Anyway am cautiously optimistic now but not sure if i should add to graduates till the weekend which is when i would have been due AF. I am aware at this early stage that it could end up being a chem pg or something so i dont really want to tempt fate, what do you think?

But yippee - a proper line!

PinkiePoo · 23/03/2010 09:38

Rosie really rooting for ya girl....i know its easy to get carried away, so really try and wait until the weekend to test again.

Then you will know for sure

nickymorris · 23/03/2010 09:40

tentative congratulations rosie.... I think that your hormone levels are highest at night which is why it's best to test in the morning - not just that the morning is when you've got the biggest wee and therefore the most stored up!!!

OP posts:
rosieposey · 23/03/2010 10:02

Pinkie - i am pretty sure anyway as i dont think i would have got three bfp's the one from this morning has dried a nice clear pink line and is really obvious but will wait till probably Friday to use the FR and single CB digi that i have got all ready to use.

Hey Nickymorris, how are you doing? Getting lots of rest i hope. Was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you were doing?

I went to the loo at 4am because i couldnt hold out till the morning and i think it must have been the fact that i was drinking fluid and stuff last night before bed because i only held this mornings between 4am and 8am and got that positive. Anyway its really really early days so ill just wait and get passed the weekend then the first week ect ect ...

Verso · 23/03/2010 13:51

Can I join? I'm waiting to test on Saturday and am slowly going mad with symptom-spotting!

decafgirl this has been a gremlin month for AF for a few of us, maybe they've moved on to cause some problems in the ov dept?! Sure you will get a in a day or two.

decafgirl · 23/03/2010 16:03

I bloody better - £15 a box is no good. Gonna pop to wilkos and stock up on cheapies..not sure I trust the internet ones unless you lovely ladies can convince me otherwise! x

digitalgirl · 23/03/2010 16:32

decaf I didn't ov till cd29. Totally skipped the November bus as a result. I feel your pain. It's partly why I ended up tracking my cervical position in order to tell if I was fertile or not.

decafgirl · 23/03/2010 17:02

Ooh, right, will look that up in one of my many, many books....thanks pet x
