OK I have just worked out that if my next cycle is the same length as this one was then I will actually be due 1st October if I get pg so rather than sitting at the back of the September bus I thought I might skip straight ahead to the next one lol.

Plenty of chocolate and biscuits ready for the journey

Thanks digital and sparechange. I'm not hoping for too much as I've read several stories of false positive on Sainsbury's tests. I did a First Response and it was also BFN. I guess FR and CBD can't be both wrong, can they?

That's a nasty rollercoaster to be told one minute you're pg and then next you're not! Can't wait for AF to show up and dive in a large glass of wine.

Digital sorry you're hopping off. Best of luck in the November bus.

Loujalou · 09/02/2010 14:31

Still no witch. Just cramps and the spotting yesterday but not today..... Its alright I haven't really got any hope for a BFP but the fat lady is yet to sing.

Digital it is horrid. I do understand. Hopefully the November bus is where it will end for you.

Fairygodmother1 · 09/02/2010 18:56

Spacefrog I didn't know you can get a false positive. Are these people just toying with our emotions!!!! I'm staying away from sainsbury's then!

best of Luck Digital on the November Bus. Might see you soon.

Sorry that was Tuesday's stats - phone rang as I was doing it!!!!

QandA · 09/02/2010 19:23

digitalgirl (and mountain fairy?) , think you should allow yourself to have a little cry and a big bar of chocolate

spacefrog, what a rollercoaster of a day for you. Agree with the advice to try again in the morning. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Lorelai, I would guess it means you might still be, no harm in 'having a go' though

Have bought 2 first response early result tests today (bogof offer in superdrug). Am having to restrain myself to not do it now, even though it is definitely too early and we probably started ttc too late in the month for me to be lucky first cycle.

Those of you ttc#2, how long did it take you 1st time around?

Spacefrog · 09/02/2010 19:49

QandA it took me 25 months to conceive DC1, but that's because of known fertility issues. If it has/had worked this month I'd be at the speed of it this time!

I am not testing tomorrow, partly because I'm fed up of wasting my money on tests and partly because Thurs is my birthday and it would be either a nice present if +ve or some good vine if -ve.

Lorelai · 09/02/2010 20:46

QandA, 'having a go still not an option I'm afraid - DH still sick today, am hoping that I still have a couple of days, otherwise I will have to give up on this month

In answer to your other question, DD was an accident, so didn't take very long at all! Which was why I was a little over-optimistic last month

stuffedmk · 10/02/2010 09:39

QandA DS was concieved as soon as I came off the pill so I get where Lorelai is coming from I suppose it is more 'normal' to have to try a few months but I guess I just wasn't expecting it (despite it being 9 years later)

I feel pretty much exactly like I did last month, sore boobs, occasional nausea, mild abdominal niggles, but these were all just PMT last time (think nausea is caused by being good and remembering my folic acid everyday) so, coupled with only SWI about 5 days before ovulation (because DH got himself poorly ) I think AF will be here in about a week

Just found out someone else I know is preggers
Obviously happy for them but.......
Actually the person works with DH but hasn't told anyone there, it just happens that DH guessed and was joking with her so she fessed up to him. I get the impression it may not have been planned either so even more

Puts hand up....please sir, can I be next?

Spacefrog · 10/02/2010 16:57

Coming for a moan...

So fed up, I've read the whole peeonastick.com website, I've read everything on the web on false positives, disappearing positive lines and false negatives and still don't know what to believe.

Odds are that I am not pg. I'd be fine with it really I would, I just want it to be over, AF to show up and move on.

beckylou85 · 10/02/2010 19:15

spacefrog when my friend was pregnant she didn't show a positive test result until 2 weeks after AF was due. She did about 10 tests (CBD ones and FR). Maybe thats why you have had the negatives on the tests you did, just be patient and I really hope you get your BFP soon xx

SamanthaB123 · 10/02/2010 19:17

Just graduating myself!!! BFP!!! I am so surprised...

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 19:17

Spacefrog my sister didn't get a BFP till 2 weeks after her AF was due even though she knew she was pg.

maybe that will be you too
x

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 19:19

Congrats Samantha

Spacefrog · 10/02/2010 20:06

Congratulations Samantha! Becky and Lou thanks for your optimism. Isn't it funny! Sometimes you get a negative but you're pg, and sometimes a positive and you're not. Because apparently if the +ve line disappears after a few minutes, like happened to me yesterday, it's a BFN.

I'll test again tomo and if BFN will just wait another 8 months and see if a baby appears, LOL.

Nymphadora · 10/02/2010 20:28

Goodlook Spacefrog

Congrats samantha

and Bye to all those who have left.

I got my 21 day test back yesterday and the progesterone(?) level was 3 times the previous month and I obviously ovulated.
DH wants to know if this means one works and they alternate? I thought it wasnt that straight forward.
I am now a bit PO as we didnt 'try' this month and I was working [grr] DH is going on Friday for his bit so got to see what happnes there next

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 20:44

8spacefrog* i like that idea of waiting 8 months! lol

Nymph The 6 months I was on clomid recently I'm convinced I only ovulated on even months lol. Fingers crossed BFP soon as this was my sixth & final month on it! Not too positive I will be tho as we didn't try as much as previous months!!!!
Keep your chin up.

xxx

UmBongo · 10/02/2010 21:51

Sorry to see you go Lou and the others - no doubt I will catch up with you on the Nov. bus.

Yay Nymph well done with the high progesterone this month And good luck to your dh on friday. (I still haven't cornered my dh about his test, WHEN af turns up this month I will do it. (and I'll just have to avoid my mother until then!!!))

UmBongo · 10/02/2010 21:52

Congratulations to Samantha

Nymphadora · 10/02/2010 22:30

umbongo what's your mum got to do with the sperm count

dh has another question- how long do sperm take to make?

BUnderTheBonnet · 11/02/2010 07:15

Morning all!

Congrats to samantha

for everyone jumping off

for spacefrog I will endeavour to stay away from my tests for 5 mins in future.

nymph I want to say three days, but I could have just made that up. Maybe it's three days to build up to full capaacity, now I come to think of it... After three days, he's full, and sperm start dying off to make room for the new sperm.

Temp is still rising this month (about 8/9 days dpo). No other symptoms.

My nipples were really obviously pregnant last time, so I was kind of expecting the same "clue" this time. Those ladies who have been pg more than once - did you get the same early symptoms second time round???

Nymphadora · 11/02/2010 07:17

Boobs feel really big today , even dh noticed this am and he doesn't normally notice pre period. They are really firm too which is nice

Loujalou · 11/02/2010 08:22

Bet your hubby is loving the boobs Nymph. Mine are always huge so don't really notice any changes!
