OK I have just worked out that if my next cycle is the same length as this one was then I will actually be due 1st October if I get pg so rather than sitting at the back of the September bus I thought I might skip straight ahead to the next one lol.

Plenty of chocolate and biscuits ready for the journey

BUnderthebonnet Thanks I thought someone changed me, as long as I move on today

LadyBee · 04/02/2010 13:08

Just lurking stopping in to say congrats to FrenchLimeBlossom, it's wonderful news and I have everything crossed that it all goes smoothly for you.

beckylou85 · 04/02/2010 13:29

Yey! french I'm so happy for you!
I hope you get a BFP this weekend, don't forget to let us know asap . It's great seeing those BFPs, come on ladies we need some more. Hopefully it's a fantastic month for us all.
Good luck to all ttc xxx

FrenchLimeBlossom · 04/02/2010 14:26

Thanks everyone, it feels SO odd being the lucky one for a change, I cannot stop grinning at work (colleagues must think I am drunk) and am desperately hoping it will stick whilst secretly already mentally drafting a birth plan and redecorating the 'nursery' - hello my name is FrenchLimeBlossom and I am an obsessive.

I will keep everything crossed for stickiness for me and BFPs for you all and will let you know at the weekend whatever happens!

QandA · 04/02/2010 16:03

Congratulations FrenchlimeBlossom Hope the weekend testing gives you some reassurance.

I just wanted to check the acronyms UCL, which I thought was usual cycle length and CD which is cycle day and SWI is sex with intent? Am really not enough of a pro to be on this bus, good job I am at the back

UmBongo · 04/02/2010 17:28

Sounds about right to me QandA, trust me - you don't want to become a pro to this bus riding business! One or two buses then off to the ante-natel threads!

Great news FLB, you finally got your BFP! hope everything goes well for you. Good luck to those testing tomorrow. I only have 2 CBDs in the house this month - no random internet cheapie testing for me this month - only going to use the CBDs when AF is late. Think I may have actually ovulated yesterday as temps are up today - so finally on the 2ww.

bunnygirl80 · 04/02/2010 21:05

Yay a BFP! Congrats FLB Fingers crossed it's a sticky one for you.

Sorry about AF lunaticfringe

I'm halfway through the 2ww - no symptoms spotted as yet but not that hopeful this month as we were a bit halfhearted on the SWI.

BUnderTheBonnet · 04/02/2010 21:08

Thursday:

flb I left you so you can move yourself (I'm imagining some kind of ritual..) when you test at the weekend.

I caved and bought a thermometer. Fertilityfriend is dangerous! I'm probably too late for it to be useful this month, although I have had 2 temp rises, coinciding with positive OPKs (nothing "normal" to compare it too though). I got positive OPKs for 3 days - is this normal???

Not much EWCM at all, but it might have been camouflaged amongst all the .... ...other stuff.

BUnderTheBonnet · 04/02/2010 21:12

Oh, and ! (Had to try that)

digitalgirl · 04/02/2010 22:04

No spotting today. Which is good as it means my womb is holding out for at least 10/11dpo, so hormones getting back to normal. Downside to 'normal' for me is that cycles are usually 30-35 days long, sometimes longer.

Feeling bit more pre-af today. Pressure in lower back building up. Also, seem to have caught a cold so have tiredness, shoulder achiness, the beginnings of a sore throat and general rubbishness to add to the mix.

stuffedmk · 05/02/2010 09:51

Woo hoo Frenchlimeblossom can't wait to see you on the graduates list after your weekend test

Fertility friend has moved my ovulation day if it is right I might as well get on the november bus now.
DH was ill at supposed critical time so if FF is right the last SWI before ov was 5 days before although if my egg was super long lived I could be ok as we did it the day after lol.
If it happens this cycle I will be
Gonna try ov sticks again next month. Nothing happened this time but evidently I just ran out way before anything could show anyway....curse these irregular cycles. Definately only going to be using cheapies though, can't afford anything else, so we will have to see.

stuffed ff got my ov date wrong when I conceived ds. When I had a few early scans to check out my early bleed the dates he measured meant ff had ov wrong by three days too late. So go with your instincts, and believe you have as good a chance as anyone this month.

Fwiw we only swi 5 days before i think I ov'ed too. Am clinging onto hope that some women have conceived only having shagged 7 days before ov.

stuffedmk · 05/02/2010 11:50

Not completely lost hope, just trying to stop myself getting tooooooo disapointed if AF gets me in a week or so.
No doubt I will still be peeing on many sticks lol.

OP posts:
Loujalou · 05/02/2010 11:57

I think a couple of months ago ff got my date wrong so have changed it manually as pretty sure I know when I ovulated.

Nanny01 · 05/02/2010 15:03

Hi
Wish me luck ladies I always get gittery knowing it's ovulation time again. This month later than last month but dh is coming home to help get the kids to bed and then well you know. He was excited when the post arreived and saw I got a clear blue pregnancy test, sadly informed him that he had some work to do before we can use it lol! Yes I got a free pregnancy test as I phoned them to ask about my monitor and they asked if I would do a questionaire and they would send me a free pregnancy test. Hoping that the recent BFP's can be added to. I'm not sure how long my cycle will be this month, so will have endure the dreaded 2 week waite with dh asking when we can test which he hasn't till now.

cailin1974 · 05/02/2010 18:44

I'm out -off to November bus -Good Luck to you all.

kawaiiko · 05/02/2010 20:39

Frenchlimeblossom congrats and fx for you!

I'm a bit this cycle...finally getting organised and charting temps, cm etc. Last month we stopped dtd on day 15 and I was disappointed to not get a bfp. Today is CD18 and still ewcm!

Totallyfloaty35 · 05/02/2010 20:41

Help me Ladies,i got off the bus last week(sunday) as AF came 5 days early.By my calculations i should have come on today.
Well AF has been very odd, lots of brown spotting (sorry tmi) only red when straining very light to the extent im only wearing pant liners and nothing is on it most of the time.
Whats going on? im usually really heavy so much so that i wear 2 night-time Always at a time. I have tested several times and all been negative.Just a bit worried as i have had an ectopic before.

totallyfloaty sounds like a breakthrough bleed after an anovulatory cycle. Test again in a week with first wee of the day and if it's bfn and you're still spotting then maybe get yourself checked out to make sure its not cervix erosion caused by an infection. But sounds to me like the sort of period I get once a year when I haven't ovulated.

nymph so so sorry you're feeling like this. You and your dh have been through a very stressful few weeks and this is probably the last straw for you emotionally. Allow yourself a good old cry, talk things through with dh and make a little plan together about how you're going to tackle the next few months of ttc. Men often like to come up with solutions rather than just talking through feelings so perhaps this way you can both counsel each other through the stress.

Loujalou · 05/02/2010 21:07

Nymph sorry to hear that. I am prone to sobbing when I find out people are pregnant. Well sobbing to the point I am inconsolable. So I do understand. Its shite. One of my friends who is so obviously pregnant skirted around the subject today when I saw her. But she's not just like that with me.

Totally maybe worth POAS just in case could be implementation bleed. At least you will know
