Seeing as we're a bit cramped, have no room for shopping and have a fair way to go yet i've hired us a double decker, hope no-one minds. Good news is there is a hot chocolate machine and a luxury loo for lots of POAS!

Congratulations page!

AF arrived in the night here. Two paracetamol, one ibruprofen (I'd forgot how bad pains could be!) and a caffeinated coffee later, I'm off to join the August bus...

nymphadora · 03/11/2009 09:29

Does anyone know about reflexology and pregnancy?

Friends dd is doing it at college and has asked if I wantt to be her study over a couple of months. If I get pg would I still be allowed? I dont want to start it then have to stop

Page62 · 03/11/2009 10:03

nymphadora i had reflexology treatment with my first, but i had in third trimester. in fact, one of the things she did towards my last 2 weeks was to try and help ripen the cervix (sorry if TMI). i was just after the relaxing foot massage .
i'm not sure if it's allowed throughout all trimesters but am certain it was ok for the third. hope that helps

lifeistooshort · 03/11/2009 12:30

page62 big huge congratulations so !

nymph I think you would be ok having reflexology. I had it in the last term with DS but check as sometimes there are restrictions in the first trimester.

Right I have manage to imagine myself a symptom. Who want to help me dissect it? Since this morning my abdomen feels very tight and painfullish. As if I was wearing a trousers that is too tight except my trousers are ok.

What does everyone thinks.

Oh and chalky yours sound really positive

asianbabe · 03/11/2009 13:11

Hi All

Congrats Page62 well done for graduating!!!!
Im on CD25 and the temptation to test is literally killing me!!!! can anyomne tell me when if the best time to test?

Lifeistooshort i've also had similar feelings tho haven't a clue what it means I'm hoping its a sign of early pregnancy.

nymphadora · 03/11/2009 13:19

It's that point when I won't be telling people so it's a bit iffy

beaufies · 03/11/2009 14:20

Hi ladies

Is there room on the bus for me ? I'm on CD41 had positive POASs and have a due date of 03/07.

Just to give you the complete picture I am 40, and I have a DS1 who has just turned a year old. Both he and the bean were conceived using IUI - first attempt this time

beaufies · 03/11/2009 15:00

Nymphadora I am a reflexologist (amongst other things...) and I also received treatments throughout my last pregnancy, including 1st trimester. In fact reflexology can actually aid conception and there are practitioners that specialise in this.

Having said all that there are alterations that would be made to the treatment. It would be much lighter and, particularly in the 1st trimester, would avoid the reproductive/pelvic areas.

Hope this helps

jumblequeen · 03/11/2009 15:16

Wow, I leave the bus for just a moment and it's all change. Many congratualtions to our graduates (I knew this would be a lucky bus) and commiserations to those now aboard the August bus... hopefully it'll be a lucky one for you

I'm now 7 DPO and am pretty desperate to test. Have had some minor cramps and a bit of lower back ach but unfortunately these could just as easily be a sign of an impending visit from AF. Bah!

lifeistooshort · 03/11/2009 15:53

asianbabe best time to test is with the first wee of the morning

Beaufies welcome to the thread but if you have alredy had a positive BFP you would probably be more at home on the july antenatal thread. This is the conception one where angst ridden crazy woman are imagining symptoms and POAS and shouting "test" "test" "Test" . However we do have nice chocolate cake and other treats so feel free to hang out.

By the way asianbabe test test test you know you want to

GhoulsAreLoud · 03/11/2009 15:55

Just popped back to say cogratulations to all the new BFPs, look forward to seeing you on the July AN thread.

Beaufies you must be really chuffed at getting a BFP on your first IUI!

GhoulsAreLoud · 03/11/2009 15:56

Lifeistooshort, when are you due to test???

asianbabe · 03/11/2009 16:25

I am going to test tommorow morning but very tempted to go home from work and test this evening tho!!!!

Tested on sturday a got a BFN so not too positive about testing but what the heck I will go for it.

opps forgot to take page62 off list. I think i will leave this to the experts next time!

lucybrad · 03/11/2009 17:11

can i ask all those with BFP - did you have any symptoms?

lifeistooshort · 03/11/2009 17:25

Ghouls I have got ages before I can test, nearly a week I think and I shan't be tempted to test early so more like 10 days

Pretty certain Auntie Flo is on her way - early visit again.
Very PMS today, bloated (but did eat lots on holiday last week ) spotty, and exhausted at 11 o'clock in the morning!
Quite sure I won't need to POAS this month

jumblequeen · 03/11/2009 20:22

Mummy369 - I'm feeling the same but trying to keep my chin up. On the other hand, I'm taking heart from the fact that these symtoms can also be very early pg signs... god, who knows?!

lifeistooshort · 03/11/2009 20:49

Is it me or is it a little bit quiet on here.

Jumblequeen and mummy369 it is not over until the fat lady sings...fingers crossed you may have a good surpise

jumblequeen · 03/11/2009 20:56

lifeistooshort - definitely a bit quiet. I know we've had a few graduates lately but still...! We are chocka after all.

Keeping fingers crossed. Got some weird feelings that I'm very much hoping are the beginnings of a baby. A baby! even the thought of it nearly brings me to tears...

nymphadora · 03/11/2009 21:37

I nearly smacked someone at work today cos they sat in my desk think I am in the realms of my old extreme PMT

beaufies · 03/11/2009 21:40

lucybrad in response to your question about any early signs I kind of just knew. I know that's not very helpful but it's hard to put a finger on what exactly. From 10DPO my abdomen, just above the pubic bone was ever so slightly rounded. I know this sounds crazy but I had the same with DS1. I am very slim (BMI19) which helps I guess but it was/is definately there. I also felt slightly bloated and had a few spots come up on my chin. This could have been premenstrual I guess but I don't usually get any premenstrual signs. The biggest giveaway though was the boobs. They felt fuller and for anyone that has breastfed in the past I had a couple of very brief tingling sensations like the 'let down' reflex. Oh and needing to pee more often but that was probably more like 14dpo.

Not sure if that will be helpful but that's how it was for me

Oh and yes, I should have posted on the antenatal thread - sorry !

Good luck everyone

Shmoo75 · 04/11/2009 06:07

page62 congrats on graduating again I am but also at the same time for you. This really does seem like a very lucky double decker!

I am still waiting for my Peak as, I got a 4th High this morning. Oh well onwards we go withthe DTD plan until further notice
