Just typical ov pain, but sure AF on the way. We will be having a break from TTC after this cycle. DH's work is very unflexible at certain times of year so really not ideal to have any babies during the Autumn or early part of spring. Which doesn't leave us much to play with which means we will have to wait till next August to try again. It will have the added benefit of DD being at pre-school though.

Maybe DD was just a complete fluke and we should be grateful, but we really want a big family...

randomimposter · 30/11/2009 09:29

who not you... doh!

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 30/11/2009 10:13

jollster I know, I read loads of stories on the net went there quite positive, but then he just shattered it all, and made me feel stupid for thinking I could be PG even though I'd had -tive tests. What I'm really not sure about is how long I should wait until I either test again, or go back to docs?

sparkly hope this is your month, it's rubbish having to wait so long when you know your ready. Hopefully you will be holding a little baby August next year!

Loujalou · 30/11/2009 12:46

Plant will the chemist do a blood test for you or is there some where you can pay to have one done? Stupid doctors - they could be a bit more sympathetic?

mabh · 30/11/2009 14:34

Congratulations shirazz and mummy.

Hope you've recovered, nymph but if it's still lingering you can get cranberry capsules that are sugar-free and hence a better option that cranberry juice for the squirm. I don't get it often, but when I do, it's bad. Argh.

nymphadora · 30/11/2009 18:09

Just about gone now but will look out for cranberry capsules for next time , sounds so much better than the juice

Shirazz · 30/11/2009 18:53

Just got back from GP to ask about this progesterone cream fiasco I got myself in - he looked it up and turns out since it's a homeopathic ? [sp] dose - even the 25mg dose dose doesn't absorb anywhere near that amount and he said stopping it would have a very low and insignificant effect given the amount my body will be making itself. So although he said not to worry about it as it would be the prescribed pills or vaginal ones that would be a problem so i'm glad I went and feel much happier.
Good luck to all of you testing this week

Medee · 30/11/2009 21:56

still here, delaying testing a couple of days, as I reckon I am onto a 42 day cycle.

mabh · 01/12/2009 09:39

shirazz I think your doctor needs to look up homeopathy. If it was homeopathic, it wouldn't have any progesterone in it (long story...). Presumably he/she was abusing the term instead of just saying it's a low dose. It's not the same thing (grrr. I don't mind gps not liking alternative therapies, but they aren't helpful when they spread confusion through ignorance). Glad the low dose is good news, though.

nymph glad it's cleared up. Last time I had it, it got into my kidneys and I felt like I was carrying a leaden backpack.

I'm getting towards the end of my cycle. I have no symptoms other than a bit of a midriff nag, which fits. And a bad mood. Gah.

Shirazz · 01/12/2009 10:30

Mabh,
I think I may have got it wrong. I think he said before he even looked up what I was taking that "It is probably a type of homeopathic cream you were using so I wouldn't worry, can you remember the name?" and then he looked it up online and said it was 25mg a day but to be honest he didn't mention anything about homeopathy after he looked at it and just showed me the dose he prescribes vaginally compared with what I was getting.

Good luck to all x

Shirazz · 01/12/2009 10:31

Guys! take "mummy" off the bus!

mabh · 01/12/2009 10:41

Typical gp assumed shirazz couldn't tell the difference between a 25mg prog. cream and homeopathy!

nymphadora · 01/12/2009 11:12

That better?

Just nioticed I dont have a POAS buddy on here. I went out of sync and most of them graduated

Geez now my nat prog cream finally shows up in the mail, and I don't know whether to use it or not. It's been about 6-7 days since I last used any!
I guess I should carry on to another thread really. I really hope to see many of you soon at a due Aug thread!

FrenchLimeBlossom · 01/12/2009 14:05

Hello all,

not quite at the front yet but am doing mad symptom spotting despite trying to tell myself not to. So here goes:

  • the sorest boobs I have ever had, I cannot even roll over in bed and DH giving me a cuddle actually hurt yesterday morning
  • possible implantation dip in my chart on Sunday (7DPO) and temps back up now
  • pinky spotting Sunday and yesterday
  • feeling generally off and dizzy
  • mad mood swings from total chilled out relaxation to weeping like a baby

2 more days to wait to POAS unless AF arrives before then. Anyone else going crazy?

Will keep my fingers crossed for mabh and floweryboots too, looks like you both have 2 days to wait!

SparklyAlice · 01/12/2009 15:54

Erm, i think Jumblequeen is CD24 too

I really felt that AF was imminent yesterday but the pain has gone a bit and i have been feeling quite queasy on and off today. Trying to stop myself symptom spotting though as i am sure that it hasn't happened this month and don't want to torture myself.

Oops sorry Jumblequeen did not see you there! Fingers crossed for your 2 day wait as well, and to anyone else I did not spot!

pointsmakeprizes · 01/12/2009 17:50

Sounds very positive frenchlime and sparkly. I haven't really had any symptoms apart from a few cramps and sore boobs - exactly the same as last month so not feeling very hopeful.

I did have a temp dip yesterday morning and my temp went back up this morning which I was really excited about until I stupidly googled it and read an article that said that this was not an indication of anything as only 23% of charts with the dip actually turned out to be pregnancies and as 25% of all charts turn out to be pregancies it didn't actually mean anything iyswim!

I am really dying to test though, I managed to resist this morning but not sure if I can resist tomorrow morning. I will try to stay strong and wait for the weekend.

mabh · 01/12/2009 17:57

Yup, two days until AF. Am very grumpy as it seems to be a better alernative to being let down.

Again.

I'm not testing in advance this month. I'll just see what happens.

I don't honestly feel that different to the previous three months, and I have a midriff-nag, which presumably means the outcome will be precisely the same as previous months.

I know this kind of length of time ttc is 'normal', but I'm not getting any younger and the more time passes, the more I think, 'what was I thinking - my eggs are cooked by now'.
