fairy industrial strength babydust. Thought it was so good i'd post it here!

stac if you can get someone to show you knitting, it would be much easier. Some of the books are very good tho.

I'm currently seething that I drove to the chemist to be told that as DS is 5 1/2 I can't buy him any of the medicine he has been taking for years, when I asked what I can give him for congestion and runny nose I was told Calpol. CALPOL! How the h*ll does that help when he doesn't have a temperature. It was the only reason I went out! Miffed and yes, next time I lie about his age.

Just LMAO - DS wanted a Ped-Egg (the thing you rub on your feet to take the hard skin off) as he had seen them doing it on a balloon to show it was gentle, so assumed it was something for ballons!!!

hey fairy i'm sure you would find north of the border lovely lol. Sounds like you have a lovely day planned.

jo i dont know anyone who knits, so it would need to be a book. Why dont you send dh back to the chemist for the medicine, mind say ds is older, hope lo feels better soon
I am knackered today, was awake a lot last night, the baby upstairs has a terrible cough and i kept waking up with her maybe i'm getting into practice lol x

hi
stac - I too had a bit of a restless night. My back is still very sore but think its a little easier today. Will you be able to catch a little nap during today? I have to say knitting isn't really my thing been more into sewing. I spent quite a lot of time years ago getting into patchwork quiliting - it's quite addictive! How about doing one of those tapestry or cross stitch kits? The other thing I loved and did at night school was batik.

jobo - last time my DD had a cough I couldn't give her anything either. They've also banned medised in children under 6 aswell, it was a life saver when DD was teething and all congested up. Hope you DS feeling better soon

fairy - hope you have a fab day

Just been doing craft stuff with DD now DH is playing peppa pigs with her. Lots of high jinx going on downstairs!!
have a grand weekend all of you

tonnes of babydust xxxxx

stac14 · 30/01/2010 14:00

clure was thinking of the cross stick stuff as its quite easy to pick up, I might buy a kit and see how I go, the winnie the poo stuff would be good for the baby, thanks for the idea

why do they change these medicines? if it wasnt harmful before what makes it a problem now? sometimes they go over the top with safety measures.

jo i know its an old remedy but what about a room full of steam to help ds's congestion? or maybe some olbas oil in a warm bath?

Stac i think the stitching idea is good. I love stitching & making stuff. The crochet has stopped for a while (2 weeks till next hol).

Days going well. DH just changed his first nappy. My friends little girl would only let him lol.

I'll send some industrial strength baby too

stac14 · 30/01/2010 16:00

fairy i think i'l pop to hobbycraft see what they have on offer. Aw thats cute the lo would only let dh change her nappy, shows what he'l be doin soon. Most kids take to dp too, think its cos he acts so silly x

Fairygodmother1 · 30/01/2010 18:55

Stac it breaks my heart to see him playing with my friends kids, like today, and when he's with my niece & nephew. They love him so much & my heart wrenches that I'm not giving him one of his own. My friend said to DH that his little girl would quite happily be adopted by us! 2 of my goddaughters love him to death to. i think it's cos he plays about with them & that.

Ooh I had some weird dreams last night. 1 I was married to Henry VIII (who was my ex) & I was pleading not to have my head chopped off (This is my current topic at school). My second was I was at work late & night cos Ranulph Finnes was giving my class a lecture on Arctic exploration (previous topic before xmas) and I got left behind to stay in the school over night and no-one had locked up so it was all open. The 3rd i went back to the 70s & was watching my ex on a date at a pizza hut type place & I was trying to catch a tube but there were ones from london underground & ones from new York!

Can anyone explain these????

hi

fairy - you mad girl of dreams. I too have the weirdy dreams, except at 1.30 am I was woken by a couple having a drunken barny up the road but such was her screaching it must have woken up half the county! Glad you had good day

Deb - sending you a hug, sure it will happen for you

waves at rest of ladies

I have been going mad because I am still immobile, I can now get up off the sofa without taking a deep breath in and shouting obscenities, although I am having to brace my back for pain when I sneeze. It feels a bit easier tonight, recovery is slow. Can't wait to be able to go out for a run but I'm being sensible and not rushing it

babydust xxxxxxxxxxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 31/01/2010 08:53

Clure gotta laugh at you an obscenities - sooooo not like you! lol. Hope it starts easing soon. This cold lark is not good either - the cold part has arrived again & hubby has it. Just spoken to mum & she's off work with it!

Deb I'm on CD 18 today. More weird dreams last night. I was trying to get my ex back but he turned into DH & then we were out in a local park & DH was pushing a stroller & I lost my flipflops in a lake (?). We bumped into some from work with her daughter. Then I was taking my class on a trip but ended up going round a large roundabout where I grew up! Then I turned 21 & was moving out of this really nice house into my parents cos I had split up from my ex & was arguing with my brother as to which room at my parent's old house I was going to have!!!!

Although some of this is based on real life events a lot just doesn't make sense cos it's always the same ex (although I've a few more than 1!). Something weird is going on in my sub-conscience...lol

What's everyone's plans for the day? I'm chilling & trying to avoid planning. I think DH might be spending the day in bed! Bless.

hi all

fairy - you must be run down and susceptible to colds at the mo. Your dreams are entertaining!! take it easy today, I have done my planning cos I can't go out running or do the hoovering or continue painting our hall I need to keep occupied!

DD is now playing hairdressers with me, I have a lovely array of gawdy character slides and bobbles in my hair - very fetching.
My back is still VERY stiff and I am moving around the house so gingerly to avoid jarring it.
I'm about cd 29. haven't yet got things moving on the fertilty clinic as so many other things have taken priority this week.

have a good day everyone dust xxxxxxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 31/01/2010 10:22

I aim to entertain! Glad my niece plays hairdressers with dolls when we play together! lol.
Don't know why I'm getting these colds - taking pre-natal vits, Vit c & omega 3 every night! Think it's all the stress!

Ladybird10 · 31/01/2010 12:37

Hi All

Carebear I also think that only BDing twice a week is the reason why we havent conceived, i'm sure if we did it every other night then it would of happened by now, but dp thinks that it will happen when the time is right. Wish i was that chilled out about it all. Im sure it will happen one day, there are so many girls that get pregnant by accident and have only done it the once. Also one of my friends said she didnt BD very often, maybe once a week and she still conceived quickly.

Im starting to think that maybe my CM is hostile to DP's swimmers, can the clinic do a test to find out if thats what the problem is?

Good luck to eveyone, im sure there will be some more BFP on here soon.

We will get pregnant baby dust **

Venetia2 · 31/01/2010 13:45

Hi, hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

Had almighty row with DH on Friday night. Partly about TTC, mostly about the fact we are both stressed out. Things have just about defrosted now. Would like to blame it on the Clomid (which probably played a part) but everything is so stressful at the moment so it was probably that.

On the plus side had a revelation about EWCM, so at least I think I have ovulated. (The pains gave me a clue too). Am going back to temperature charting again next month too, dug out the thermometre and checked that it still works. Looked at the old charts from a couple of years ago-irregular working patterns really screw up your body! Now I have a more regular job hope things will even out.

Ladybird I have no idea about testing for hostility of CM sorry, I hesitate to say this but can you google it?

Clure sorry your back is still playing up, at least it sounds like you are being really productive.

Fairy the dreams are pretty interesting, do you think dreams mean anything?

Stac crochet is really easy-when my dad was ill I made a double bed blanket as I basically stopped sleeping and was driving myself mad with worry, it grew really quickly and is lovely and warm....

Hi to everyone else, I really like the idea of industrial strength baby dust.......

Debicemmy2 · 31/01/2010 13:59

Clure Thank you sooooooooooo much for my hug.......was a nice one Sending one right back to you too.
Fairy Your dreams really are crazy.....just like mine
Lets see who will have the most crazy dreams eh......maybe it will take our minds off other thinks that drive us crazy
I too am having a lazy day.....again lol
Take care everyond and sending lots of hugs your way xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 31/01/2010 15:31

Ven we hear you luv with the stress & the row!!!! All clear here this weekend. Big hugs & hope it defrosts quickly. I notice EWCM more this month. It also seemed to last about 5 days this month. Hopefully I caught it this month! Next month will be clomid free!

I think there is something to dreams but don't know what & those online dictionaries only tell about symbolism of one thing. The symbols are in situations so it's more to it. I usually dream every night but the last two nights have been crazy.

popsy1 · 31/01/2010 16:53

How come the weekend goes so fast??? Where has it gone?

My weekend has been so busy. Mums still really poorly after her operation so i've spent most of the weekend with mum and dad or running errands for them. I'm exhausted now! Trying to get organised for work and its just not happening. I was so close to telling mum yesterday but DH has said not till after my early scan. She has been a little delirious and said my son who we lost came to visit her. She described him. He had blonde hair and was smiling at her then he walked away. She was so upset, i just wanted to tell her.

Its so hard not having anyone to talk to and i dont know how much you ladies want to hear! Sorry i know you all have your own worries and stresses. Its the first anniversary on Tuesday, i suppose i am just panicking.

Love to all

Fairygodmother1 · 31/01/2010 17:18

Big hugs Pops - I'm sure everything will be fine & just think about all the excitement when you get to tell!

I know, weekends are flying by. Not fair!

jobobpip08 · 31/01/2010 18:04

ven sorry you've had a row, hope things are a bit less chilly now. But you're right, the pressure is immense and it affects our men too. I'm sure that why DH hasn't been well these past 3 weeks. Don't know what DS excuse is!! Charting is only to to confirm that you have ovulated, as your temp goes up afterwards once the progesterone kicks in.

fairy you must be shattered every morning! I think it reflects your inner turmoil about ttc.

pops what a weekend you're having have emailed you xxx

clure hope you're on the mend before DD 'styles' you again!

hello to everyone else

We've had a lazy day, apart from some tidying up. Too chilly with wintry showers, so sat in front of the fire waiting for tea. DS definitely back to school tomorrow - hes been driving me mad today! A sure sign he is better.

Clure · 31/01/2010 18:23

a little conversation at the dinner table during tea earlier; DD asked when we had her did we want a girl baby. DH and myself or course fell over ourselves to tell her of course (which was actually true)
DH; "Do you know how we knew you were a little girl when you came out of mummy's tummy?"
DD; "no"
me: "we had to look very closely to tell if you were a boy or girl baby"
DD; "i don't know"
DH; "think about what little boys have that girls don't"
DD; "trousers"
me; "inside the trousers" (you can see where this is leading can't you ladies?!)
DD; "underpants"
DH; "inside the underpants"
DD "poo poo and wee wee"
me; (holding poorly back whilst I scream laughing) "NO!"
DD; (finally) a willy

hurrah!!!
just had to share that one with you all

Fairygodmother1 · 31/01/2010 18:37

Thanks stac fairy and Jo. hugs gratefully received.
A little nausea at all inconvenient times, sainburys, in middle of teaching and whilst talking to friends! I'm just so tired. I'm not sleeping that well though so that doesn't help. As you said, a lot going on. Roll on half term
Hope all goes well with the MW stac

Great story Clure well done for leaving hubby to deal with it, very wise Aren't they great with their comments
Fairy i also dream loads, and usually very weird ones.
