spacecadet I have a under a thyroid they Q's this when I m/c.What do you do? do you get your levels checked asap?
Am still for you everytime I remember

spacecadet · 06/06/2005 18:16

xena, i will get my levels checked at the surgery first and then every month at the hospital from now on, they did with dd2, its important to keep your tsh levels near normal, because it can also affect the baby if the thyroid stays underative in preg, my medswere virtually doubled when i was preg, last time.

spacecadet · 06/06/2005 18:17

normally i just get my tsh checked ever 3 months

Diddle · 06/06/2005 18:20

Hopefully i won't panic, when i tested this early before with an early pg test it was a BFN so i have never had a BFP this early anyway, so all hope won't be lost.

OP posts:
Xena · 06/06/2005 18:20

I've never had it checked that often. Maybe I will push for it to be.

spacecadet · 06/06/2005 18:21

dont be disheartened if thats the case diddle, xena, you should have your tsh checked at least every 6 months, minesstill on 3 monthly cos itsless than a year since i had dd2.

Xena · 06/06/2005 18:23

I have only had it checked once since DD2 was born

spacecadet · 06/06/2005 18:28

how old is dd xena??

Xena · 06/06/2005 19:58

She 11mths on weds 8/7/2004

Evening ladies

Just a quickie to say after a MASSIVE contraction my waters broke so looks like I am half way through the MC-fingers crossed!

Going to watch Troy Bayliss's story on Men & Motors (I'm an avid bike racing fan).

Night all

RachelRog · 06/06/2005 21:47

Humphreyscorner - hope you are ok.

Spacecadet - WOW!!!!! . You must be over the moon!!! So pleased for you.

Diddle - I am starting to get a bit nervous for Weds as will be devastated if BFN (no matter how much I kid myself that I will be ok I know it will be gutting). Oh well.....will just have to wait and see.....don't feel pregnant though.

HellKat · 06/06/2005 22:08

Great news. Rang earlier and the results were in. Good news. Not ectopic pg. Just residual hormones from retainment! Apparently my hormone levels have dropped to 80 (from 270) so all great news! Have to do a pg test Friday but they're hopeful that all will be gone by then. The histology report said that a stack of tissue, placenta etc was removed so they're 100% everything has finally gone.
So now waiting for the bleeding to finish, then af then gung ho all the way!
{{{{{{{{{{{{[HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Humphreys. Hope you're as ok as you can be hun.

Diddle · 06/06/2005 22:39

Humprheyscorner - I hope that you're coping ok, we're all here if you need to talk, or shout or let it all go. thinking of you.

Hellkat - Great, great news.

Rachelrog - I feel exactly the same, and don't feel pregnant, but there's no harm in trying just in case, you never know. It migth be our turn, and if it isn't then we will have more fun trying. At least your preparing yourself for a BFN, that way if you get your BFP it will be a big shock and if not then you won't feel as let down as you could have.

Hope that makes sense.

Night everyone, i'm off to read my book in bed.
Take care all of you, speak to you tomorrow

Fandabidozee!!!

maddyd · 07/06/2005 07:50

Morning Everyone. I know some of you are testing today so just popped in too wish you luck especially Diddle and Lottielou.

I see congratulations are in order for Spacecadet. Well done you, it brought a tear to my eye. Mind you i cried at Emmerdale the other night when that young girl had her baby. You must be so excited, please take care. Have you worked out a due date yet?????

Have not been on as been a bit ill with my AF. Yes it finally came after 55 days and dont i bloody know it. Its awfull. But im not sad, i can finally move on and start trying again.

Diddle · 07/06/2005 08:22

MaddyD - so pleased you're AF finally arrived, not too pleased that it has knocked you about so much, but yes you're right you can move onto the next stage now.
Not testing today, we're going to test tomorrow.
I know what you mean about Debbie in Emmerdale, i was busy sitting there huffing and puffing that she had a baby and we don't. Is it Andy's???

Xena - I try to be positive, Lottielou was on her way back from Norfolk yesterday thats why we didn't hear from her much, she's back home now.
hopefully she'll be on to make us all smile later.

HumprheysCorner - Are you ok?? are you at home?

OP posts:
maddyd · 07/06/2005 08:24

Yes it is Andys.Sad arnt we.

So how are you feeling????

HumphreysCorner · 07/06/2005 08:36

Morning ladies

No pain since yesterday HURRAH!!!!!!!

HellKat-excellent news, now you can move on.

Diddle, RachelRog and Lottielou-lots and lots of luck for your testing.

Spacecadet-

Big hugs to everyone else.

My original 1st 13 week scan was going to be at 8-55 this morning so feeling a bit . Had all these visions of calling round to all my friends and relatives to show them the scan to announce the pregnancy. I didn't tell many peaple this time (just incase of a disaster) but with my 1st pregancy I told everyone at 8 weeks because I was so sick. Should have sussed out why I felt so well after 6 weeks. NEXT time I will announce it the day I test-Yay!

Sorry, but one last thought (don't mean to sound miserable) but you hear of all these girls having MC's but never ever would I have believed how difficult it is to get over them. Right down to the fact that even at an early stage you are still giving birth to the fetus, contractions and all.

RIGHT, I am OK again so am going to enjoy the lovely weather while my DD is at my MIL's for the day.

Love and hugs
x

HellKat · 07/06/2005 08:45

Humphreys- Yep we can move on. I don't think it really matters how far along you are when you mc, the hurt (both physical and emotional) is the same. Well apart from the poor women who suffer a stillbirth. That is my biggest fear ever. I imagine that would be a million times worse (don't know personally).
How's everyone?
Good luck for tomorrow girls!!!
Xena- you never know, we may be testing at the same time!

spacecadet · 07/06/2005 09:23

xena, no im keeping still!!
maddyd, diddle worked out my due date!! 11th feb!. I tend to be induced at 38 weeks though so technically it could be a jan baby.(must try not to get excited)
humphreyscorner, i lost a baby in march at 16 weeksand when the date for my 20 week scan came round i was sobbing, worst thing is that id already had an appt letter about my scan too, it came the week i m/c.

spacecadet · 07/06/2005 09:35

oh xena forgot to say, after you havea baby, you should get your tsh checked, 2weeksafter the birth, then every 3 months for about a year, then get checked twice yearly, go to your gp and get your tsh checked, in extreme circumstances, low functioning thyroid can prevent you from conceiving.

Diddle · 07/06/2005 09:50

maddyd - feeling ok, getting very nervous about testing and also about getting a BFN and then coming on. I want to be pregnant so much, its not fair. I've decided that next month maybe we should BD more often, we have been doing it every 3 days this month, think maybe we shoud go for every other day if we can. Not sure what DH will think about it, but we have to try.

Humphreyscorner - good to hear the pain has gone, I know today will be tough for you, but remember we are all here for you. I remember the day i should have had my first scan was horrible, you feel so upset that you're not able to experince it. I only had one scan with the 2nd and it was to show that it was empty, nothing there. I don't think scans will be something i will look forward to.

Hellkat - I agree it is so hard to recover from at any stage.

Lottielou - are you back with us today??

maddyd · 07/06/2005 10:08
