New thread ladies. For those that don't know this is a thread to discourage early testing, dissapointment and bank loans!!

STEP AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OracleInaCoracle · 05/06/2009 08:07

PME youre norty. you wouldn't even get a BFP at 7dpo if you are pg!

rene, i hate the term bd, and af. i prefer sex and period. we are adults ffs not 12yo girls.

hello to everyone, hope you are well. sorry that i have been neglecting you.

scan on CD10 showed 3 mature eggs on tubeless side and 2 on tubed side. official party line was to abstain but dh and i decided to go for it. then we all got ill. still managed to have sex on CD10, CD12, CD15 and CD16 so just hope we've done enough. pretty sure i ov'd several times though. just in the waiting game now!

ReneRusso · 05/06/2009 09:02

Wow lissie sounds very promising. Why were you supposed to abstain? Because too many eggs?

OracleInaCoracle · 05/06/2009 09:09

yep, although really there were only 2 eggs. dh and i had a look at the stats and the odds of an egg from the tubeless side travelling are so small that it was a risk worth taking. if it doesnt work this month i have to halve the dosage and be scanned next month too. im so nervous. how are you?

ReneRusso · 05/06/2009 09:25

I really hope the little lovelies stick for you - how do you feel about twins? Did you lose a tube with an ectopic? Sorry for asking dont know the history. I'm doing great thanks its CD3 AF got me this time round but I'm ready for another go next time.

OracleInaCoracle · 05/06/2009 09:39

lol at patirence, but sorry about period.

yep lost tube to ectopic in feb 2007, been ttc for 3.5y and had several mc's (about 9 early all together)

ReneRusso · 05/06/2009 10:02

Sorry lissie sounds like you've had a rough ride. I really hope this time is different- what CD are you on?

OracleInaCoracle · 05/06/2009 10:22

CD19 its tougher knowing that the eggs were there, this is our best chance!

Clwc · 06/06/2009 01:00

Your best chance so far, lissie. I hope this is the month for you, but there will be others if not. Fingers crossed, legs uncrossed! xx

PistachioLemon · 06/06/2009 08:57

Hey Lissie, good luck, sounds like there was a good chance.

PME - very very naughty.

Well I think that's it for me this month. My cramps have now turned into spotting so I expect period will be here very soon Actaully I'm gutted, I'd sort of convinced myself for about half a day that it might be the month because it's too early for cramps but I guess it's not to be. Onwards and upwards eh.

Liskey · 06/06/2009 13:27

Hi Ladies hope your all ok.

Been away for a week walking in the Lake District (but didn't do Bowfell with DH as thought that might be a bit much - its not a mountain by 40 feet). Plus my DMIL would have killed me or worse called my Mum to tell her. DH dropped me in it as he told her I'd been drinking ginger beer in the Pub and she said "Is there anything you want to tell me" - DH said "No" She then said "Are you sure?" DH can't lie for anything so then admitted I was 7 weeks pregnant. So much for us not telling anyone this time

Sorry to hear that Pistachio I was really hoping I'd come back to read you'd have a BFP.

Sounds very promising Lissie - I'll keep fingers and toes crossed for you.

OracleInaCoracle · 06/06/2009 13:43

hi liskey, lol at not telling anyone. if its any c onsolation i always say "not telling anyone" but everyone guesses. for a start my tummy swells v early and i always get ADS (all day sickeness)

speaking of which, am v sick atm. not actually being sick but icky burps (tmi, sorry) and loads of CM. feeling quietly optimistic!!

how is everyone? should we do a roll call?

lissie CD20 cycle 42 1st clomid

Liskey · 06/06/2009 14:03

Oooh Lissie that sounds promising.

Yep swore this time wouldn't tell anyone and its not worked at all mainly as my Gran was dying and I told her so my family of course found out. Plus Dh can't lie at all - knew DMIL would guess - she sees me not drinking she'd know. I don't mind her knowing it was DH who wanted to keep it as quiet as possible.

Told my neighbour yesterday as the midwife was round and she does notice everything in the street. Luckily I think most of the other nieighbours aren't around.

Lol - I was going to say the same thing annie! When I conceived we had sex twice on CD13 and 15 - DH used to have ahunted expression on his face! Thats when I started temping and using OV kits so I could actually predicate a good time.

PistachioLemon · 06/06/2009 15:03

Thanks ladies, I've been in tears about it all morning. Which is silly I know. And I don't know why I'm so upset this month when last month it was kind of okay.

Maybe it's because some friends have just got engaged and I can't go to the party tonight because I've got to finish this bloody revision, AND I suspect very strongly that she's pregnant
(a) they've been enquiring about getting a sensible Swedish type of car - just not like them AT ALL
(b) just extended their house - from two bedrooms to FIVE! and
(c) never thought they'd get engaged (is that mean? probably! )

DH is under strict instructions to like out for signs of non-smoking and non-drinking and to report back!

Anyhow, the result is that I'm grumpy and unpleasant and can't concentrate. May go for a nap and see if that fixes things.

PistachioLemon · 06/06/2009 15:03

PS Sorry for the me me me post.

Clwc · 06/06/2009 15:38

(((PL)))

That was a hug, btw. xx

OracleInaCoracle · 06/06/2009 16:13

lol thanks liskey and annie (nearly forgot to add, am peeing for england too. if there was a urination heat in the olympics, i would win gold. 3 times in 30mins!!)

proudestmummyever · 07/06/2009 23:02

Hiya girls, well now CD24 for me, tested today and THOUGHT I saw VERY VERY VERY faint line, but hey thought that last mnth 2 , fingers crossed tho ay?

How are we all?xx

PistachioLemon · 07/06/2009 23:45

Evening all, I'm feeling a lot better today so no more whinging (for a bit anyway!).

So how are you all?

Lissie any news? I think it sounds pretty good... can't wait to find out (although I know this is supposed to be the step away thread ).

PME What are you like!?! Hopefully this is your month. Maybe you should buy shares in ClearBlue or First Response so that you get dividends to fund the habit...sort of quid pro quo!

Clwc thanks for the lovely hug. Did you have a good weekend? Shame about the weather eh.

Liskey I swear if I ever get pregnant I'm not going to be able to stop shouting it from the rooftops. And even if I didn't, my mother would guess at 20 paces for definite. Was MIL over the moon?

Hi there Angelfifi and Rene how are you both?

Well, I've decided that we're definitely going to go away for a few days after my exams so that we can properly relax. And then I'm going to have to start looking for a job. I do have one but it doesn't start for another year so I have to find something until that starts... any ideas? Ideally it should be fun, not too many hours, not too too taxing and pay gazillions of squidlings per hour - do you think I'm asking too much?

Clwc · 08/06/2009 01:23

That darn weather ruined my potatoes!! I've straightened them all up again now, and hopefully there are still plenty of tatties growing under the soil, but GRRRRR!!! lol. Thankfully, I got my tomatoes under shelter just before the hale stones fell.

Otherwise, a good week, followed by a reasonable weekend. I found a friend of mine a job, got and interview for myself, helped my mum to save £220 on her car insurance, and DP and I finished grouting the new tiles in the bathroom Phew!

Don't think I ovulated this month (PCOS), so have even less of a reason to get the HPTs out again. If I don't come on within the next 2 weeks, I might do.

pme Test again on Tuesday AND NOT BEFORE!!!!! x x x x

Angelfifi · 08/06/2009 06:34
