Hi all,

AF arrived on Sunday so now if we are successful this cycle and it's as long as this last one baby would be due early December 2009. Anyone else?

My DD was a 'wedding reception surprise' and my DS only took 2 months so i am hoping there won't be a long wait 3rd time round or i will become more obsessed than i already am!

Well i'm late. Test was negative (ebay cheapie) thought i had a clearblue, but can't find it!

Bloody cycle has decided to mess up on the 1st month of TTC, which means i'm out next month too as my ovulation day for March has been pushed back and DH is away with the Navy for 2 weeks.

.

Tillyscoutsmum · 08/03/2009 17:28

Smallships Have you recently come off the pill or anything ? It might take a couple of months for your cycle to settle if you have. I came and had a look today hoping for good news from you. Will you buy a branded one tomorrow if there is still no sign of AF ?

Molliemooma · 08/03/2009 17:41

Hello girls, I wonder if I could join? A bit about myself, I'm 36 and DH and I have been TTC#1 forever! We tried for 2 years and then last year had 2mm/c's and a CP within 9 months, we've had a bit of a break and some tests and are now officially back to TTC for the first time this month.
AF is due Tuesday but not holding much hope so thought I'd join for the December one instead! I've added myself to the list if that's OK?

Welcome Mollie!

Sorry you came on DQ.

TSM - nope not on the pill, so my cycle is just messing me about. Annoyingly i've had all the symptoms of coming on all week and now they've disappeared. I'll wait until Tuesday (DH is off on Monday and i don't want him to see me buying MORE tests ) to test again. Let us know how you get on in the meantime!

cyphercat · 08/03/2009 22:00

Does anybody know if taking antibiotic, amoxicillin, isn't good when you are trying to become pregnant...?? Is it safe?

Hobnobfanatic · 08/03/2009 23:02

Hi to the new passengers - and regrets to those whom AF caught.

I've been temping and using OPKs for the first time this week. I think I OV on Sat, as I had a faintish LH surge on Fri, and then a half-degree increase in temp on Sat, with no LH line on the cheapo OP stick.

I BD-ed on Weds and Sat evening - what are my chances of getting lucky this month? Any ideas? Is it too late to BD on the day you've ovulated, or the day after?

MissieMoosMummy · 09/03/2009 10:43

Hello everyone

having had 2 consecutive positives that didn't stick, I'm in two minds as to whether to ttc again this cycle, so I hope you don't mind if I put my name down just in case the mood takes me. I'm not going to do anything to promote or avoid it this month (except temp, which is a morning habit for me) & see where things end up.

I can see quite a few familiar names from previous threads , so good luck ladies & I hope this cycle proves fruitful.

As for the opk's, I got a one day surge last month; it was the only one I have ever had in months of testing trial and error. In order to achieve this for me, I had to make sure that my wee was very concentrated (no drink after first morning wee, and testing at 2pm with 2nd wee of the day, which was very hard going.

Hobnob, if you had EWCM on the wednesday, you may have had the swimmers survive until the egg arrived, and it is recommended to have a couple of bonks in the 2 days following ov to make sure you cover all bases, so I'd say you still have a bit of a chance of getting lucky!

Hi All
I would love to join this thread, but as I am new to all of this I have no idea what the short hand means, could someone please teach me?
Many thanks.

yumyum73 · 09/03/2009 15:26

Hi bluespix77
These are the main ones you'll probably see/need... hope it helps x

TTC - Trying To Conceive
Cycle - Which TTC cycle you are currently on
UCL - Usual Cycle Length
CD - Cycle Day (CD 1 being first day of AF)
AF - Aunt Flow (Period)
DPO - Days Post Ovulation
EWCM - Egg White Cervical Mucus (usually get this just before you ovulate)
BD - Baby Dance

Rtuff · 09/03/2009 15:30

Hi Bluespix77

TTC - Trying to Conceive
UCL:Usual cycle length
CD - Cycle Day
.......

Has anyone had any blood tests done? If so what are they testing for? We've being TTC for nearly a year and the doctor suggested blood test, which i have agreed to but as i had my 2 year old with me at the time i forgot to ask what it tests for!

Ha ha,I forgot to add my name to the list!

I've added you also Liahgen, and I'm sooo envious of you! I wish I was on my 6th (being one of 6 myself) but DH thinks that once we have two, we'll already be wading knee-deep in children so I'll be very lucky if I can persuade him to even go for a third after this one. And besides, I'm way too old now to produce 5 siblings for DD unless I start having litters.

at litters.

I've had 8 pg's so far and with my advancing years and all that, (43 late this year) I keep hoping the mother nature will chuck a couple of eggs out together and finish with a twins flourish, [is there a totally deranged emoticon]

Any news Small ships?

Hobnobfanatic · 09/03/2009 22:50

Good lord, Liahgen, I'm in complete admiration. I LOVE children, but loathe pregnancy. I'd love six or more kids - but I'd be a jibbering wreck after all that exhaustion and sickness to carry the little blighters for 9 months each.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that Mother Nature chucks some twins (or triplets...!) your way!
