Oh and Wanabe - I'm a complete novice aswell - am just going by the 11.5 weeks of pregnancy that I know about, but you learn quickly

I loved being on the antenatal forums, as you got so much good advice and hand-holding there as a paranoid first-timer.

There was also a thread for first time mums expecting Spring babies. When I left there, I told them to look out for a thread I intended starting for first time mums expecting Autumn babies

smileycat · 23/01/2009 18:00

OMG C1ndy I would say a +ive is a +ive no matter how faint the line is, but as the others said do it with your first wee in the morning & you should get your answer

Wasabi big hug

Wanabe I did this pg thingy nearly 11 years ago now so it really does feel like the 1st time again for me & with so much more info around its amazing whats out there, good & bad........... every pg is different & you can easily get very wound up reading too many of the wrong types of stories. I read everything I could get my hands on in the few couple of wks & scared myself silly but now I just stick to the stage I'm at now & read the good stuff

funtimewincies · 23/01/2009 18:38

Ooh C1NDY, expecting a definite, absolute BFP tomorrow !

AF has finally arrived, so much relief all round that I'm not having a ludicrously long cycle but feeling really about the whole TTC thing and my usual bright-side approach has completely deserted me. I'm very grateful for ds, but I so badly wanted another baby and it really does just seem that it isn't to be.

Need booze.

smileycat · 24/01/2009 09:07

Funtime so sorry she got you again, sending you a great big bar of dairy milk & a bottle of vodka to wash it down..big hug

C1ndy ANY NEWS?????

funtimewincies · 24/01/2009 12:11

Thanks smiley, feeling a bit better this morning although dh took a bit of a verbal pasting yesterday . He's a bit non-plussed, as it's usually me who is determined it will all work out, so roles were a bit reversed! How are you feeling at the mo?

Also came on to see if there was any news from C1NDY [hopeful emoticon]...

VillageMum · 24/01/2009 15:24

Bad news I'm afraid, ladies. We had our second scan at 9 weeks today and there is no heartbeat now. I will be having an ERPC next week, not sure what day yet, will be speaking to the consultant about it tomorrow. Please think of us. I may not be on here for a while as I just need to be able to come to terms with this second mmc on my own. Thank you all for having been there for me. xx

Joolsiam · 24/01/2009 15:36

VM - I replied to you on the other thread

Life is just so cruel sometimes

C1NDY · 24/01/2009 17:32

Hi all, I did a test this morning... and yes it was a BFP. But AF is due on Thursday, so will only update the list, once I know she will not be turning up - it may be a chemical pg or something (but I didn't take any drugs i.e. cough mixtures even though I was sick! Here's fingers crossed that everything will be okay

Oh villagemum, huge hugs to you and your dp . Nothing anyone says can make it better, but I hope that you know how sincerely our sympathies and best wishes are.

Tentative congratulations to C1NDY, completely agree with your caution. Hope that the witch knows when she's not wanted.

smileycat · 25/01/2009 10:22

Villagemum so sorry to hear your news, big hug to you & your dp, thinking of you x

C1NDY · 25/01/2009 10:36

Funtime thanks. I now feel silly to have tested early, now I am thinking what if the witch turns up - oh well such is like I suppose. But hoping and praying that this bean sticks!!

wasabipeanut · 25/01/2009 11:09

vm I've also replied on the other thread but just wanted to say how sad I was to see your news. I hope that you and your family can find comfort from eachother in the days and weeks ahead.

Funtime - hope you enjoyed some booze last night. I think we're all entitled to our maudlin moments. Glad you're feeling a little more heery this morning.

C1ndy - I am going to reply to you separately.

Well, I had a bit of a rough night - bleeding stepped up several gears and had to keep getting up to change pad and it was hurting so much I couldn't get back to sleep. Am currently dosed on Brufen & Paracetomol combo so feeling a bit better. I am so hoping the worst has now passed. I have reason to believe the worst has passed now - will spare you TMI.

wasabipeanut · 25/01/2009 11:11

C1ndy - Yay!!!

I know we are supposed to be being cautious but a BFP is a BFP until otherwise proven. If you are producing so much HCG that you are getting a bfp this early then I guess that's a good sign?

Wishing you heartfelt sticky bean vibes xx

Joolsiam · 25/01/2009 12:12

C1ndy - so much HCG this early - twins ?? !!!! Apparently the likelihood of twins increases when one is hurtling towards 40

Just back from 2 hours at the gym and absolutely loved it Feeling fit again, and all the pre AF bloating had gone, so I didn't feel so self-conscious about my hooooge tum.

Have made room for a nice pub roast dinner now

Funtime - I hope booze and chocolate helped ?

Hoping you are indeed over the worst now Wasabi - if the pain reached a peak and then you had a TMI moment, it sounds like it Be prepared to be a bit achy for a few days

VM - have been thinking of you a lot ...

funtimewincies · 25/01/2009 19:31

I did wonder for a monent about twins (not to scare you or anything ), as ds started life as one of a pair and I got a +ve on a normal Boots (not First Response or anything) 4 days before AF was due!

wasabi - completely agree with Jools, my pain settled within a couple of hours of having my 'TMI moment'.

Beer and chocolate helped enormously last night, thanks .

BeckyMcG · 25/01/2009 19:35

VM - am so sorry to hear your news....ahhh, I just can't believe it. I've got tears in my eyes - nature is so, so cruel.

Cindy .....to echo others, I'm tentatively pleased and with the arrival of a stronger BFP on Wed or Thursday will be delighted.

queenie1 · 25/01/2009 21:28

villagemum - so sorry to hear your awful news. Not shocked because I'm becoming only too familiar with how common this can be. But that doesn't mean it's any easier to deal with. Big hugs to you honey. Not much to say except that we're all here for you. Completely understand when you say you want some time out but do come back as and when you need to. We all understand. Lots of love. xxxx

yellowflowers · 25/01/2009 21:34

villagemum - so so sorry and thinking of you.

Funtime - sorry af got you.

C1NDY · 26/01/2009 08:36

OMG your all freaking me out now.. Twins, no way (gulp)

Funtime I guess you have all worked out I have no patience, so yesterday used my Boots pg test and got a strong pg - I just wanted to see if I would still pick up a line (on the Boots one's you have to get a cross). So now I am beginning to get worried... Twins. Whatever is to be will be. I can't wait for Thursday to roll on so that I can update the list!!!

OP posts:
C1NDY · 26/01/2009 08:38

Wasabi (big hugs to you) I am praying that the worst is over and you can start to heal. Thinking of you and your DH.

Jools started the Diet Chef today, I am ensuring I eat enough veg and salad to ensure that I am being healthy and not to weight concious. Just wanted to say that the food was yummy, I can't believe the stuff I get to eat is low calorie...

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 26/01/2009 09:08

Cindy - what do you get to eat and how much is there?

iggypiggy · 26/01/2009 09:13
