Hello,

As Nelix has a bfp (yay!) and she started the last one I thought I'd start this one as a continuation of this thread

Here's hoping we all get BFPs this month but if not then let's continue the thread until we all graduate

Hey ladies,
Wow been nusy on here today huh?

Heeby sorry you're feeling blue, must be horrible being away from your little one and having to go to work. Cheer up honey Always helps me

Funtime where's the Green & Blacks? Heeby is in need!!

Ahh i feel so at peace with the world, despite period hormones really irritating me of course!

Yellow & Ellie looks like you 2 are our next to test, oooh exciting!! how are you holding up girls? (or not)

How's everyone else?

Deeja i like the comment about it being something if you make it into work! I can totally relate to that! Temping isn't any use to me either, im a bit of a bladder brain and would forget!

Elliegant · 18/11/2008 17:55

Trying to stay as relaxed about it as possible this month, had been fed up but feeling lot more positive today, going to try my best not to test early.. Probably not much chance of me holding out though.

funtimewincies · 18/11/2008 18:18

Been shopping today, so sending a HUGE bar Heeby's way (oops, a corner has broken off in transit. Oh well, it'll only go to waste if we don't eat it .)

WanabeMum · 18/11/2008 18:45

ha ha funtime very good, i guess you had better eat that piece then!!

mmmmm chocolate, why is it so much nicer when you feel blue or hormonal? It's like magic!

Only 4 days till my holiday, yay!! very excited now, off to the US for some serious shopping!

BeckyMcG · 18/11/2008 20:51

Right girls. I'm feeling positive and so have booked myself a private scan 3 weeks from today - 9th of December. This will be 8 weeks for me since the first day of my last period. It's going to cost £95 in Harpenden which isn't far from where I live. It's a small price to pay for piece of mind over Xmas ......fingers crossed for good news.
[wannabe] - I am also off to the US in 9 days - New York and can't wait to hit the shops. I've been saving up everything I need to get!

C1NDY · 18/11/2008 21:41

Pezzina I have two more days before the 2ww, waiting for hubby to get home so we can bd (is that TMI!)

Heeby enjoy this time, its all going to be fine. Don't feel blue, this is your time. You did the hard bit now be positive and enjoy your pregnancy. You will feel better when you go to your doctors and have an early scan. (((HuGS)))

Village Hi there, not long to go now... you must let me know how you get on.. I have two more days to complete the DP and then I will be twiddling my fingers hehehe! and of course reading everyone's post. Goush its going to be like the football scores coming in this month... .... Let's hope we all score!! goush I am good at this pun thingy... hummmm...

Yellowflowers when is the earliest you can test... is it 10 days before your AF? Seems you have got some symptons... fingers and toes crossed for you.

Wanabemum sorry that AF arrived... you have the time now to get ready for the next round? Did you do the DP this month?

C1NDY · 18/11/2008 21:46

Becky my fingers and toes are crossed for you, I am sure it will be good news. Why are you paying, can't your doctor organise one for you, to give you peace of mind??

Jools1 · 18/11/2008 22:08

Hi all - still lurking Bleeding seems to have stopped so I may be back here before Christmas - don't want to wait - I need to put back something positive in my life - have something to look forward to, as life seems pretty bleak at the moment

Becky - I notice you mentioned Harpenden - you must be close to me then

Have you tried the Verulam Clinic in St Albans ? I looked into an early scan with them (and wish I had gone for it now ) and it was going to be £75 - just thought you might be able to save yourself some cash

wasabipeanut · 18/11/2008 22:34

Not good news from me I'm afraid. I retested Sunday after my 2 borderline tests at the end of last week and got a definite BFN. Still no AF although got some red streaked CM today so can't be far off. This whole cycle has been vile - spotting for days after AF should have finished, late OV and still no AF. I have a feeling that perhaps there was something but it hasn't made it . Obviously not meant to be and certainly a lesson in the futility of early testing.

I just want AF to start so we can start another cycle but typcially when you want her she's nowhere to be bloody seen.

Pezzina I'm sorry to hear about your dh but obviously happy to hear it hasn't affected baby making plans! Its a difficult time at themoment and I hope your dh manages to find a new role without too much trouble.

Heeby all the best with your scan. When you see your little jumping bean I'm sure it will put your mind at rest! Hormonal ups and downs are difficult to deal with I know.

Wanabemum - have a fab holiday. I hope you manage to find some time to bd between shopping trips!

Jools I was wondering how you were. I hope life doesn't stay bleak for too long. You've been through a terrible ordeal and only you and your dp know best how to heal, whether its taking a bit of time out or ttc ing straight away. Whatever you decide I wish you all the best.

Best of luck to all you 2ww's. Its a tough time. Given my AF has yet to start I suppose I am technically still in it but I think we can rule me out for this month.

I was upset at the weekend but think everything happens for a reason. Any lo concieved now would have a birthday very close to ds and actually I think it would be nice to have them a bit further apart so I am trying to look at it positively.

pinkie08 · 19/11/2008 09:11

Hi all,

Well i had some pains in my ovaries and surrounding area yesterday evening and into last night.

Next OPK later today and am hoping its a +ive cos getting very tired from all the bding. Managed this morning and if get that ever elusive +ive will try again tonight.

Heeby your early scan will be wonderful and you can enjoy the time.

yellowflowers · 19/11/2008 09:19

Heebychick · 19/11/2008 10:20

Hi ladies,

Thank you so much for the kind thoughts and of course the chocolate (heeby grabs proffered choc with gusto!) i know exactly what you mean, it is just hormones and annoyingly i feel totally fine come 8pm which is almost bedtime! I remember this from carrying DD so should of been pre warned really. in a way i want to tell people so that they understand when i act all flaky or turn green at the slightest smell of food. (still munching ginger bikkis tho)

becky so pleased for you, how do you feel physically? as everyone has said to me, try not to worry and keep positive, i am too going for an early scan if my dr allows it (or will pay for one) i'll find out on friday which i'll be doing, but like you i want to know before Christmas really.

(wasabi* so sorry for you honey, what a horrible cycle indeed, i hate it when our bodies play tricks on us and mess us around, it's not fair.

VillageMum · 19/11/2008 11:01

wasabi, really sorry, many ((hugs)).

Cindy, thanks for your good wishes hun. I'm still waiting for AF - should be here today or tomorrow and I'm getting a bit impatient truth to tell! Temps have dropped though and my horrible premenstrual mood has improved a bit, so should happen soon. Good luck on the 2WW! Let me see... you will be getting your BFP around when I ov! Really hope this is your month!

Heeby, it all sounds as if your pg is going brilliantly and that the hormones are doing what they should be doing! Sending you much strength.

queenie1 · 19/11/2008 11:40

Hi all - i've been reading your posts for the past couple of days and you all sound like such a lovely lot. Do you mind if I join you?

I haven't been drinking grapefruit juice so not sure if I can officially sign up here but promise to as of next month if this month isn't 'the one'!!!

So a bit of history...I've been in and out of Mumsnet over the past year or so whilst ttc. DH and I have been at it for about a year and a half and have so far had three mcs . But after tests at the recurrent miscarriage unit at my local hospital, it seems there's nothing up, they've put it down to bad luck and we've been told to keep going. I'm feeling very relieved about all this and so (stupidly?) optimistic for this month. We've been going for it quite a bit - CD 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17 so far (17 being today!)

I think I'm ovulating around about now-ish (don't know exactly as only go on CM) and so beginning to begin that dreaded two week wait. I so want an early christmas present!!

If you don't mind, I'm adding myself to the list:

Mylittlebubble AF due 10th - 15th Nov
VillageMum AF due 19th/20th Nov (DP after this AF!)
Whitebeaches AF due 17th - 21st
Pezzina AF due 24th Nov DP
Elligant AF due 27th Nov DP
Yellowflowers AF due 27th Nov
JClaire AF due 28th Nov
Sans04 AF due 28th Nov
BoosieBoo AF due 30th Nov DP
Cindy AF due 1 December DP
spats due 7th-? nov
Smileycat AF due 1st-4th Dec
Queenie1 - AF due 2nd(ish) Dec
Pinkie08 due 5th dec
Deeja AF due 9th Dec DP
Wasabi AF 11th dec
Wanabemum AF due 18th/19th Dec DP

Heebychick BFP
Becky McG BFP

Congratulations to those who have there BFPs already and hoping they are sticky ones for you. And good luck to everyone else trying and waiting!!

WanabeMum · 19/11/2008 12:13

Hey ladies,

Welcome to our newest member Queenie evryone is welcome here, they certainly made me feel at home when i joined, although must admit starting to feel like part of the woodwork!

C1ndy no i wasn't using the DP last cycle but it is in the pipeline for this cycle. I'm not going to be able to take my clearblue digital monitor due to the time difference and the set time you have to test so will be relying on past dates of OV and the DP to get through it. What will be will be!

Heeby glad you enjoyed the chocolate!

Becky im so glad you're feeling more positive, pregnancy is supposed to be enjoyable not stressful (she says half heartedly) but i can understand your angst. Good luck with the scan.

Jools nice to hear from you honey. It's hardly a suprise that you still feel really bleak towards life, you've just had a horrible experience. But you will get there, hold your head up high and if you want to cry then bawl, if you want to smile laugh till your eyes stream. Do whatever it takes to get through this part and maybe you will be in a better frame of mind for the next cycle.

As for me im CD6 today so roll on CD8 so we can get the DP into motion
Keep at it troopers! he he

wasabipeanut · 19/11/2008 12:16

Hello Queenie! Welcome to the grapefruit massive.

AF update - she's here good and proper after starting late last night. Feel quite relieved actually. Looking forward to starting again!

Would I count yesterday or today as day 1? Got proper flow from about 11ish last night?

WanabeMum · 19/11/2008 12:39

Hi Wasabi i'd count today as day 1. my general rule is the first full day of AF. Could just be me though!

pinkie08 · 19/11/2008 13:15

Hi Wasabi

I would agree with wanabe if you are following the clearblue fertility monitor or such,

after seeing the consultant for clomid prescription he was adament that the first day of cycle is day that bleed goes to full flow, so would be inclined to work that to yesterday.

Am not sure it matters too much as while doing temping or OPKs you will find your pattern either way it will just be a day different depending on which one you choose, i think, its very confusing am scatching head while typing.

Oh the joys of bding.

yellowflowers · 19/11/2008 15:55

Hi wannabe - I would count yesterday as day 1 but providing you do the DP and bd before and after ovulation you'll be covered either way.

Wave to queenie - great to do so much bd. How long is your cycle so far -maybe one more bd tomorrow or day after for luck?

Is it too much info to say even though 6dpo my knickers are wet each day - could that be a sign? No very wet, but def some discharge or cm and not an infection (no colour no smell). Sorry if tmi.

Also if my uterus was twinging where would I feel it - I keep getting twinges just above where my pubes naturally stop (sorry, can't think of other way to describe it) - but don't know where that corresponds to inside.

queenie1 · 19/11/2008 16:35

Thanks for the welcome wannabe, wasabi and yellowflowers! Very much appreciated.

Wasabi - sorry about AF starting.

Yellowflowers - wet knickers at this stage looks very promising. One time when I was PG (sadly ended in MC at 6 wks), I had EWCM just before I would have been due on. So lets keep our fingers crossed for you. Also, thanks for BD advice...would love to BD tomorrow or day after but DH is going away with work. Very annoyed about the timing!! Might try and pounce later tonight before he leaves...

Pezzina · 19/11/2008 16:52

Welcome to queenie everyone is super friendly and supportive on this thread and on MN in general.

Yellowflowers ? I too am getting ?twinges? in the same area ? lots yesterday, fewer today. I?m also getting more CM then I have noticed in previous cycles and also have suffered from headaches for the past couple of days ? which I very rarely get.

I?m trying not to symptom spot but when my body starts doing stuff it hasn?t done before I can?t help but get a tiny bit excited! Somebody slap me to knock some sense into me please!

yellowflowers · 19/11/2008 17:29

Yes totally know what you mean pezzina - I am officially not symptom spotting this month, but can't help noticing some things. Must not get excited however. DH keeps putting hand on tummy to encourage any fertilised egg to implant - is very sweet, though am worried he'll be as disappointed as me if not worked.

OP posts:
Pezzina · 19/11/2008 17:39

Yellowflowers that is so sweet of your DH - although I understand that you don't want him to get his hopes up - but I fear that is inevitable when you want a BFP so much. Postive thoughts are great though - don't underestimate the power of the mind

Elliegant · 19/11/2008 17:51

Hi all,

wasabi sorry about AF

welcome Queenie, you'll love it here but not for to long I hope

yellow and Pezz, I seem to have more CM than normal at the moment as well, and had to wee about 8 times at work today (which is very unusual for me, sorry if tmi).. Probobaly all in my head but feeling pretty good again today.

Pezzina · 19/11/2008 17:54

Well Ellie I hope we are all on to something [smiles]
